Seems like the same Dave to me
Seems like the same Dave to me
I watched the 1st Netflix special a second time and For What It's Worth right after, and it honestly is the same Dave Chappelle
Yeah only difference I see from then and now is he just doesn't seem as hyper and energetic.same delivery style with his sarcastic, smart mouth self. Only difference is youre not seeing him dressed up for his clips for his show
I think everyone equates him to his show. I was 11 when it came out and tuned in every week. But I also have watches Killing Them Softly at least ten times. For What Its Worth is dope too. I'm always dying at the subway joke, Mickey Mouse one and the Indian storyPeople get stuck in the past too much. Killing Them Softly will forever be the GOAT Chappelle special b/c that was sort of his mainstream coming out party as far as stand-up goes.
But these new joints are classic Dave. They'll never give you the same feelings that those older shows did, but he's still absolutely hilarious.
I also think a lot of the younger folks on here equate him to his show, and his stand-up isn't ever going to be that.
