Early Sept is the word for the butter pair. Others in October.
The shoe fit me TTS, had a little slight pain on top of my toes at first similar to the AE1 but it went away after about 30 mi a.
Traction:
Multidirectional pattern, medium grade compound for firmness. The traction was very ELITE. All of my movements over the 4 hour session (trained with pelicans assistant coach and did 1v1 and 4v4) were superb.
Cushion:
Heel foam is Injected Phylon, forefoot is a double lasted midsole with a larger volume Zoom bag that the Ja 1/2 (thicker).
Heel cushion has a slight bounce, forefoot was nice and springy, nothing crazy but adequate ($130 usd).
Fit:
Tts, slightly narrow and VERY tapered on top of the toes so if your a wide footer .5 up and you’ll be G.
Materials:
Great materials, nubuck, neoprene make for some nice raw materials (old school vibe). Breaks in quickly, but not breathable. Under the shroud is a thin, lightweight mesh.
Support:
Dual lower and upper TPU heel counter, eyelets run into strobel board for great lateral lockdown and containment. Double lasted forefoot keeps everything tight and closer to the floor. Seems to be a shank as the midfoot was rigid.
Overall a phenomenal performer (wish it had heel cushion), but just a fun, reliable and different design from converse. They have some amazing 2026 stuff cooking for this model.
I really enjoyed playing in it and will be wrapping up the performance review this weekend at some point. Spent some more time in them today when I landed.
Minimal logos, clean design, I’ve always loved zippered hoop shoes so these and the DON Issue 7 are right up my alley.
