Oh I definitely agree. Which is why I don't think I missed anything by not buying Black Operations. I still play MW2 today for that reason alone. The game has tremendous replay value.

will probably grab MW3 for the xbox as well.. calling it quits for now with these crappy PS3 servers.

Yes, because Modern Warfare games drop every two years, people who play a lot of COD know that there are always differences between Infinity Ward CODs and Treyarch CODs, and most of the top people at IW got fired or quit. So people are looking forward to see how the series continues. Not all people just mindlessly buy Call of Duty every November. The games are always great.
And to everyone bringing up Battlefield please tell me when a Battlefield game has every had a campaign as good as a Modern Warfare game? And to complain about COD multiplayer getting old, Battlefield games been using the same formula for longer than COD.

Could be a hit or miss.. layoffs always make room for improvement though. New design team could bring new ideas.. you never know.
