Cheap things you do vol. every dollar counts

My wife buys plates and bowls from the Dollar Tree all the time.

If I go pick up coffee or food, etc for friends or co-workers I always keep the coins and only give them back bills.

example: I go pick up lunch for a co-worker and myself totaling 19.25. My food was $10 and theirs $9.25. They give me a $10. I keep the $0.75.

If the other person was going to pick up that same order and my food was $9.25, I would only give them $9 and be like "aw man I don't have any change lemme run to my car." They almost always say don't worry about it.

Social engineering.

Usually ppl dont care for coins so...

Not me but went to the movies with my 2 boys and my father in law. When we were leaving his house he took big clear bags and put them in his pocket. Got to the movies and he ordered a large popcorn - "those come with refills right?"

Got our seats. Tipped popcorn into bag, handed to first boy, got refill, tipped into bag, got refill...

When I was younger and a bunch of us used to sneak into the movie theater like this:

1. Two people pay full price for tickets, then enter theater and sit down.
2. One person takes both stubs, exits the theater while the other person remains, and gives the extra stub to someone waiting outside
3. Those two people re-enter the theater alone.
4. Rinse and repeat, changing people up every time.

We've snuck as many as 10 people in using two stubs.

There's an exit in the back of my theater. In high school, one person would buy a ticket then go and open the door to let the rest of us in.

Strong post to sig ratio.

For the work coffee drinkers, buy a swell bottle or an equivalent and make coffee at home and fill the swell bottle up. Your coffee will be hot all day, and the bottle will quickly pay for itself.

We have to pay 0.05 for paper bags at our supermarket. At self checkout just put in 0 paper bags. I do it in front of the employees and they don't care. I'm not paying for paper bags.

employees don't care about the paper bags unless that job is the person's career.

u are allowed re-entry?? Isn't that why they take the other half of the ticket at the door?

Save a parking ticket I get and slap it on the windshield so I won't get another ticket. I get to keep my quarters too.
I did this not too long ago. Was 10 minutes late to refill my parking and got one. Was like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ guess I don't need to pay for parking and just continued hanging out for the rest of the day. Saved it and now I don't pay to park in the city.

They give you the other half so you have proof that you purchased a ticket in case you need more popcorn, bathroom, or whatever. I've never heard of no re-entry at a movie theater. A concert or sporting event, yes.

Not cheap..but massively frugal:

I bring my lunch to work everday
make breakfast
drink the free coffee at work
never buy drinks at work
Never buy snacks at work
I'll drive to my bank and use their ATM
If I order takeout..I will walk and pick it up

I'm not really cheap. Luckily my gf is and that evens it out :lol

I make a huge amount of food and..put each serving on a paper plate..cover with Saran Wrap ..then foil..and put it in the freezer..ill bring that to work for the week..and if I'm under time constraints and starving..I will eat that at home..

My company has a cafeteria..if for some reason I don't bring my lunch (extremely rare case) I will get the soup theire ($2.15) or the chili ($2.60) ..my coworkers drop up to $20 a day
