I've made quite a bit of money in my young adult life. I've voted for both demarcate and republican in the past 4 presidential elections. I don't think it really matters.

I think it matters not only for social reasons but also for the fact that I don't want my taxes being wasted on MAGA nonsense. And I pay more in taxes than those trailer park Trump supporters. They want my money to build their wall Mexico was supposed to pay for.

I understand the link between rich/wealthy people and cleaning or even rich/wealthy people and caring about their fits having “swag” but I truly don’t see how we got on to rich/wealthy people and showering.
And I’m not talking about celebrities either because their lifestyle is just different. I obviously mean the rich/wealthy folks in law, finance, executive, etc folks. The dudes who created their company like Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, etc who started their own companies who started their companies are also different from CEOs at other companies who had to get selected by a Board and need to meet with customers, suppliers and clients. The former have more leeway than the latter.

As a Muslim man who immigrated to the US when I was an infant, I couldn't get myself to vote for that man. Have I fiscally benefited from his presidency? Of course.

That's the difference though. Money can buy you a lot of things, but it can never buy you morals and conviction.
