That 2 day meeting and homecoming talk really rubbed me the wrong way. Thought we had a legit shot at him

Possible 3 team trade between Bulls, Knicks, and Magic:

Bulls receive: Carmelo Anthony in sign-and-trade and Arron Afflalo

Magic receive: Carlos Boozer, Jimmy Butler, Bulls' 2015 1st round pick, and the Kings' protected pick

Knicks receive: Jameer Nelson, Tony Snell, Mike Dunleavy, Nikola Mirotic, non-guaranteed deals of Ronnie Brewer and Mike James.

This is an aggressive trade that comes with a lot of risk. You’re mortgaging the future by trading Mirotic and two future picks. However, you also get the best starting five in the league with Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, Carmelo Anthony, Arron Afflalo, and Derrick Rose. It’s a lot to give up for 2 players, and the Bulls' window to win a title is narrower than if they trade for Kevin Love.

But it also potentially gives you a powerhouse team in a weak conference.

Only part of the deal I don't like is giving away Jimmy Buckets and Miriotic. If the only picks given away are next year's, we can draft to improve our bench and I'm sure there will be a few vet minimums signed.

but what about our bench? No doubt the starting five is strong, but then we are looking at adding two rooks and some more vet min contract players

That deal would be a steal. I luv Jimmy but if that's what it takes to add melo and affalo so be it. I likes this scenario much better than give up Jimmy AND Taj for Love.

Veterans would be lining up to take the minimum to play for us. Grab a shooter and a big man at 16 & 19, we would be straight.

Not holding my breath tho.

Great teammate
Really good size
Good to very good spot up shooter with range, pretty good midrange shooter as well
Disappeared in some big moments so you have to question his presence
Alright defender,
Limited ball handling ability: ok putting the ball down if he only needs 3 dribbles anything beyond that is asking for trouble
Athletic but doesn't use it

I'd limit my expectations, tbh.
