Rose is clearly a NTer he been in here reading. Glad to see him attack more am I the only one who think rose foot positioning is a lil odd on his jumper

Rose made enough nice drives to the right tonight that rested my fear. The only thing left to check off is his elevation at the rim. I think his J is good but it's his shot selection that's the problem. Shooting too many contested long 2s off the dribble.
Ballislife32688, dunno about the foot positioning but I notice he leans forward on almost all his pullups. The only time he doesn't lean forward when he shoots is when he spots up..

correct me if im wrong but this falling forward thing is new, only guard i see have success with that form is westbrook but he shoots it with more of an arc. I know if we see it, hopefully someone on the training staff can really bring that to his attention, rose needs no yes men around him.
Mad about the loss, were not going to win them all Denver has our number, but good to see rose attack and finish some crazy shots thats really what made him great. Every game rose seems to focus on doing one thing very good wonder if this by his own design.
Last thing Jimmy is clearly missed especially defensively on the wings.
"He used to put up a lot of shots with (assistant) Coach (Ron) Adams. Unfortunately, Coach Adams isn't here anymore. That was kind of like his shooting buddy. And Coach Adams did a great job all last year and basically since he was in Chicago before the Bulls let him go."
I agree with the all star break thing, that falling forward on the jumpshot scares me though because that's technique and not rust. Hard to work on mechanics during the season with so little practice time but I'm sure he will find a way ... Let's get this W in Portland
The falling forward thing isn't too much to be concerned about. He's just shooting it long now. I think once he gets the feel for the distance more of his mid range J's will sink in. I think it's an improvement over how hhis mid range J was. He had a problem of shooting on the way down and his jumpers would come up short.
I think it's easier to fix shooting jumpers long than shooting jumpers short.
It's probably why he developed the habit of falling forward in the first place because he knew his pull ups tended to come up short.
I know he doesn't have his shooting buddy anymore but form wise I think he got rid of the biggest problem which was the hitch and shooting on the way down. It's definitely more of a smoother, one movement release.
I was watching his AAU highlights last night... The difference between the mechanics of his jumper from then to now are seriously night and day.
He's made a lot of improvement.

It's hideous and it HURTS to watch it right now. Not sure if any other IL HS class of '07'ers post in here, but his jumper SUCKED in high school, so even this falling forward hideousness is an improvement.
