Now that I think about it
And after seeing all of these pics

NYC originated the bucket hat trend. The late 80s drug scene - early 90s rap scene in NY really popularized the mainstream wearing of bucket hats
Word to Rich Porter, Azie and Alpo, and numerous other Harlem kingpins. Rappers throughout NY made it hot as well
