Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

Love Breaking Bad, but The Wire is definitely a better show.

That's the only one that I can see but The Wire doesn't hold a candle to Breaking Bad from a cinematography standpoint which is important to me.

Writing wise absolutely they both stand alone.

I would say the acting was better on Breaking Bad as well.
100% agree. The Wire was a great show, but man the way Breaking Bad was filmed was masterful. The Albuquerque views definitely helped, but The Wire was pretty one note as far as direction goes. They weren't really too interested in the cinematography. I think Breaking Bad is one of the first shows that really put that much effort into the visuals in sort of a movie like way. Kind of reminds me of Mr. Robot in how artsy and well directed the show is.

Hannibal was another show w/ insane visuals, I'm still mad as hell that they cancelled it.

I don't really do rankings but I can easily see Oz getting the nod over BB.

The character development on that show is ridiculous.

I've always heard how great Hannibal was. I just can't get myself to consistently watch a network TV show for some reason.

I agree with the guy saying they need to watch The Wire again as an adult. It is great and definitely one of the best shows that was out, but I was graduating high school and in college when it was out. Mind is definitely on a different wavelength since then

I'm usually the same way but I would check it out if I were you.

If you were to watch that show on blu ray or w/e you would swear it was an HBO show.

I have no clue how they were allowed to show the things that they did on network tv.

It's nothing like a network tv show though.

Story, acting, and writing was already strong but visuals for that show was unparalleled. Still have yet to see a show match it in that regard network, cable, or streaming.

Networks sometimes go against their usual and let greatness flourish.

Gee thanks. I really thought Breaking Bad was coming back for a season 6.

No, really, I did.

Watched the entire series in 2 weeks when my kid was born.

Yall talmbout oz is a good show tho? Trued watchin it on firestick and couldnt get past half the first episode.

Tried the wire also, just seemed too old.

Jesse definitely deserved to live. Dude was a literal and figurative punching bag for everyone for the whole damn series.:lol

He deserved it a lot of the times, he did some real dumb **** and when he started acting like a complete **** to Walter I was like **** this dude....but then the writing was so good that they made you sympathize with him on the drop of a dime....same with Walters character....I loved all the characters in this show, except Skylar...That sloot goes down as one of the worst characters in tv history, up there with Lori.

My mans Hanks fade was legit one of the saddest most BOSS UP ways to go out, dude was the man :hat

I need to re-watch Hank Da Gawd versus those twins. Dude was in bawse mode.

I cried when he got killed....dude wasn't about to beg for mercy....he took that L with his head up high.

Hank was da Dad Bod Gawd. He should've smashed little walter's face with his crystals.

:rollin at Skyler questioning Marie when she told her she should take the kids back after 3 months

"Does Hank not want them here"
