Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

I didn't know there was folks wanting Jesse to die. In the end, he had his swan song. I would of preferred him and Walt killing each other at the end, if anything.

Am I the only one that liked Todd's character?

I've actually thought about it a lot and there is so much I did like about Todd's character. It's just that every time I think he's a good guy, I then counter with the fact that he killed that kid in the desert with no hesitation and Andrea on her front porch with poor Brock there in the house. Hard things to get past.

Just finished watching the series for the second time and loved it just as much as the first time thru. Doubt I'll watch it A again tho.

Seeing this thread just brings back good memories of anticipation and excitement of what the show offered.

I have like 3 episodes left. I get why people call this the greatest shiw of all time so far, but it's not for me. Don't get me wrong it's a great show.

What show would you say is better?

Because I've watched everything and nothing compares.

I liked Mad Men better.

skylar makes it hard for me to rewatch it for the third time lol

Ultimate final boss level ***** :{

I thought she was horrible when she thought Walt was cheating but she brought it to a whole new level in season 5 going in pools and ****

When she screwed that one guy and gave him WALTS money. Bro, she worse then Joffrey and that other dude in Got

bb fanboys always upset when someone don't agree with them.

McNulty > walter

Hank > walter

Love Breaking Bad, but The Wire is definitely a better show.

That's the only one that I can see but The Wire doesn't hold a candle to Breaking Bad from a cinematography standpoint which is important to me.

Writing wise absolutely they both stand alone.

I would say the acting was better on Breaking Bad as well.

100% agree. The Wire was a great show, but man the way Breaking Bad was filmed was masterful. The Albuquerque views definitely helped, but The Wire was pretty one note as far as direction goes. They weren't really too interested in the cinematography. I think Breaking Bad is one of the first shows that really put that much effort into the visuals in sort of a movie like way. Kind of reminds me of Mr. Robot in how artsy and well directed the show is.

i dont think the wire was trying to make the city look glamorous or beautiful

i dont think the tone of the wire was made to incorporate scenic views either

the reason imo breaking bad was so "pretty" was to underscore how walt was operating with such evil in such a tranquil atmosphere

Fair points. They definitely weren't looking to make the most cinematic show, but the show still leaves me wanting something. That's just me personally though, because the direction is probably the main reason (along with writing of course) I watch a show.

For me it's probably the one thing that has the biggest impact on tone and setting. Biggest example of this I remember is the end of Crawl Space when Walt...
...realizes the money that he needed to skip town was gone.

That shot really was a perfect depiction of Walt's situation both figuratively and literally. That's just one example. They seemed to do little things like this almost every episode where the shot informs the situation.

It's not a fair comparison, though. Two different times in television and both shows have a completely different style. Plus I need to watch The Wire again as an adult.

damn, almost forgot about Better Call Saul. They need to come out with the new season ASAP before people forget.

his reaction to that was one of the realest moments in TV history, dude couldn't even compute what she just did

His laughter in the background as she goes to pick up the phone is epic.
