BrandBlack

Thanks TPG.
I wanted the black pair, but they dont have any colorway in 11.5
I wonder if i could squeeze into an 11, but i need to stop buying shoes as it is.

Would this be your first pair? You could get away with going .5 down. It's a great shoe, you're missing out. At this price you might as well get a pair and sell one pair of shoes you don't wear anymore.

I'm thinking about getting a 3rd pair(grey) just in case the 3s don't look better than the 2s and cost more.

I already have the blue pair, I'll try them on later and see how snug they really are. Since its a woven fabric, it'll be easier to go down in size. (I did that with a pair of flyknits)
Thanks for helping me undermine my resolve.

I would not recommend going down a half size, I went down and my toes were busted after just 1 session.

There is not much give in the upper, the materials are soft out the box so it "feels" like you can drop a size but after a few sessions you’ll be regretting it. For casual use maybe but for ball stick TTS.

When I did eventually get my correct size I found the fit much better than the XX9, there was more structure to the upper and I felt I didn’t need to tie the laces so tight to get a good lockdown fit. I also felt the heel collar was better designed on the JC as the XX9 heel is quite high and I found this to be a problem.

Another thing to look out for on all these "knit" uppers is the type of socks you use, I found the high poly count socks caused my foot to slip within the upper (xx( was the worse for this) so I switched to a more cotton % sock and got better results without needing to tie laces mad tight and stop blood going to my foot!

One notable difference between these and the XX9 is the weight is more evenly balanced in the JC2, the midsole on the XX9 is far more solid and heavy than the JC2, for this reason I think could be a factor in the foot slipping within the XX9 as its quite bottom loaded in terms of weight. This heavy midsole secures the base of the foot but the upper is under a lot of pressure to secure the foot on lateral movements due to the high traction and weight of the midsole.

The JC2 on the other hand has a much softer midsole and the heel counter is quite pronounced (heavier) than the XX9 which I felt gave the shoe more secure fit and balance. With that said it wasn’t without its problems

Were they your first wear that jacked up your toes? Did anybody step on you toes or you dragged them on the floor or anything? The woven upper so soft and not much protection you might have hurt them that way? I have a pair tts and half down and haven't had a problem. Maybe I'm not playing hard like you. :\
Also everybody's feet is different. I guess decide accordingly if you want to half down or not.

It was after a 2hr session, the bruising stemmed from my toenails but my feet were noticeably cramped when I was playing. I wore thinner socks to “help” them fit better as I felt they would stretch but I just ended up hurting my feet. The same thing would have happened in Kobe elites if I went down a half size but they would feel tight out the box but these are softer uppers and can be deceiving when you first try them on.

@thepointguy - the JC2 had a similar tongue. If it doesn't protrude or affect how the player plays, then it isn't necessary for more materials to make the shoe heavier. They curate with fluidity of movement. The shoe is build well, but tonight will be putting them thru the on-court test, along with some alternate test pairs I'm not at liberty to say.
But to ask, does anyone prefer the Mid's Or Lowtop's when they play ball?
(Well according to long test, it doesn't matter if you wear low/high tops, sprains will happen regardless b/c of how you move, how your body is built, and how well-balanced you are.

I prefer low tops, just feel more comfortable and less restricted. The real difference might just be mental but still idc haha. Do you know when the Jc 2 lows release?

With that said it wasn’t without its problems< the dye on he upper is quite bad at weeping color onto your socks and I also found the softer weave upper doesn’t offer the same protection than the nike equivalents (you’ll notice if someone steps/lands on your feet in these more than your typical bb sneaker)

As for durability I reckon the soft midsole on the JC will break down quicker than the other shoes it may be more comfortable out the box but these shoes will not take as much punishment as the Jordans and Kobes.

For me the ascetics of the JC is the winning factor, Im not 16yrs old any more and when I go out grocery shopping with my wife I dont want to be looking like Im having a mid like crisis but yet I want something comfortable that goes with shorts but doesn’t shout out "look at me". Also supporting a guy like JC is also appealing to me as its not the obvious "superstar" NBA guy and if anything it gives out the message I know this **** Im not just about that hype.

I would buy a 2nd pair of JC2s if they go on sale, perhaps the black pair but getting my size is difficult to say the least, that’s not to say Im going out selling all my Jordan’s but Im more keen on the low key CWs than the shiny bright look at me shoes and I just find this is the appeal of these for me to each their own.
interesting review. I agree with how the bottom part of the XX9 feels heavier however to me the heel to toe transition feels better in the XX9. Running and jumping seems to be easier in the XX9 than in the JC2. Also I trust the Jordan woven material more than the BB's. To me it's more supportive. Overall in my opinion (and I've played a lot in both shoes) the XX9 is the (slightly) better shoe. But I agree the JC2 looks better and is just as comfortable if not more so.

The afterthought seems more opinionated actually. At the end of the day, it's based upon a players preference.
They both use the same woven technology at the end of the day, it's how they finished the woven process in that matter that affects how the shoe holds up and how it performs on the player.
I agree the XX9 feels a little bit more bottom heavy tho. But honestly they both transition very well, are considerably a top 3 performance shoe, but neither shoe is considered totally perfect per-say b/c again, each players foot fits different on every type of shoe.
Opinion wise it's both top - 1A & 1B without either being ahead of each other.
Each shoe will have advantage and disadvantage and you have to go without being biased.
For a company like Brandblack to come from out the blue to create a shoe like this, have to give credit where it's due.
Will there ever be a ultimate basketball shoe, as far as I see it's all based upon each person's preference.
Each year out expectations will start to dart up, but will brands arise and surprise us?....that's the question we all hope to have an answer for, for every release.
Have to keep creating new shoes in order to make more money. Supply and demand. Let's just hope brands dont take short cuts (just in general).

Surprised no pics have surfaced of the jc3 yet considering JC been wearing them at the seattle proam all summer...

Great job including the video.
And Yes David saw this.
Thanks! What do you mean by David saw this?

This JCII low colorway is just perfect, it's a cool brand but they lack a bit of communication... I have a master degree in this domain if someone from Brandblack read this

As in The founder of Brandblack - he saw the video already. But big up for posting it.
I dont get it... I've posted the video so everyone in this topic can watch it. BTW, is David Raysse on NT?

What's there to get?
I said thank you for posting the video in the forums. lol
And I also stated that The founder of BB saw the video also. That's all.
Nothing more nothing less to read into it.
It was a simple thank you.

Oh... Ok! You're welcome.

But I still dont understand the why of this sentence "And Yes David saw this."

Oh, it's in reference to those who ask " I wonder if the founder(s)/Creator(s) who get interviews actually takes the time see the videos" and the answer is yes.
It's probably better clarity if I write it that way.
But again, thanks for sharing.

If you guys are a fan of the JC2, you will like the JC2 Low, and the JC3 (mid/low???) (i'm not at liberty to say).
and also the new ETHER shoe.

I really wants to get my hands on (and my feet in) the low top version like the one I reshared. I'm looking to buy a second pair of the JCII to stock, but money is a bit low right now. JCII is so good and so beautiful.
