BORDEAUX 7S JULY 18th 2015

So here's my take, and this is coming from someone that absolutely loves the bordeaux 7, they were my first pair ever when I was a kid, and I own the 2011...

Anyone talking **** on the 2011, likely either doesn't own the 2011, didn't buy the right size in the 2011, or is trying to make themselves feel better about the consolation prize that is the 2015's. And don't get me wrong, I bought the 2015 as well, cause I love the shoe in general, they could have really screwed it up, and I still would have bought it...

All that was remastered was the shape, and the color... maybe it's closer to the OG overall, but quality wise, these are far from perfect. The toe bump is VERY noticeable in person, EVEN WHEN WORN, and it looks BAD. The perforation holes are barely poked through in most spots, this also looks bad, and perhaps worst of all... the glue stains on these is absolutely terrible, and I looked through many pairs before settling on mine. I feel bad for anyone that ordered online, cause it's a real crap shoot what you will get.

And again, these are not made with real leather, as the Australian member here confirmed with the pic below of the insole sticker.

These are pretty close to TTS, possibly a little snug. If you went half up you might be okay, a size down, these are going to kill your feet. Everyone knew back in 2011's you had to go .5 down for a true fit. Even the store associates told us all to size down back then.

Here are some pics of the flaws, and again I looked at many many pairs. And it wasn't just lack of hype, more of these were produced than any other recent GR... I see these sitting in my city for quite some time...

Again, don't get me wrong, this is possibly my favourite sneaker of all time, but this release simply is not good quality at all. I will wear them into the ground and enjoy them, but people need to stop acting like JB is blessing us with these remasters.

Man my pair is nothing like yours at all lol You got a REALLY BAD pair bro.

One of the smaller local stores in the area got 3 times what they usually get for GR's. A lot of the ;pairs we are seeing like all the pairs that Finish line has might be NDC stock. I think with that stock at stores and other retailers the popularity of this shoe is deceiving.

Who the **** is this **** **** **** *** ****** ?

Seeing as this was the first 7 with the new similar to OG shape, with the Marvin's coming up and the Sweater 7s having the same shape, I think JB took that into focus and didn't really pay attention to the toebox. Plus the mass quantities that these were produced in made flaws such as glue and the toe box inevitable. The 2015s are far from perfect and the toe box is annoying but people like me really appreciate the smaller details the 2011s lacked like the darker midosle, green on the tongue and the OG shape which make it easier to overlook the toe box.

Agreed. I think this will become more apparent with releases as JB has very little left to retro that they already haven't retroed. They will just continue to repeat themselves over and over in 4-5 year cycles. At each junction people will then act do I get the new retro or stick with the one I got a few years back.

They need to go ahead and bless is with 16 - 18s. Most of the og colors will not sit

Like I mentioned, I looked at MULTIPLE pairs, even multiple display pairs in other sizes, they ALL had these flaws, just varying degrees of them.

Yeah I hear you man, and that's why I didn't pass, I like the green is back on the sole, and I like the darker midsole, but for the price ($245+Tax in Canada at Retail) this remaster stuff is kinda a ******** gimmick, and the quality on the 2011's was much nicer. Too many people **** talking the 2011's, I don't notice the shiny midsole when they are on feet, but with this pair I definitely notice the toe box bump when they are on feet.

How are people tryna sell these for $220?

You can go to FinishLine right now and buy any size you want. Smh.

Those are an absolute insult to everyone who missed out on chicago 1's

The shoes are durabuck which are an extremely durable nubuck.

The shoes are HAND MADE so of course they'll have glue stains, sloppy paint, ect...

Every release you have all these dudes like

It's a damn shoe :rollin :rollin :rollin

Well for the price quality should be better in my opinion, we were told by Nike we would get better quality with the price jump, these are far worse than what they put out before, but $50 more.

And Durabuck is not leather, might be more durable than nubuck, but does it breath and hold up like real leather?

What are you talking about?

Some of us can't just have different opinions, huh?

I have 2011's and think the 2015's are better besides the toe box, but I guess I'm trying to make myself feel better about my consolation prize :rolleyes

Yeah you can have an opinion, I just disagree with it. I think the toe box kills anything else that might put them above the 2011's. On feet they just don't look as good. Put a 2011 on one foot, and a 2015 on the other and look down, plain to see which looks better, but again, all personal opinions and preference.

I hate to break it to you, but OG bordeaux's weren't leather either :|

So now that you've realized what an opinion is

people always gonna complain about quality no matter what!

now before i get flamed..i dont know jack **** about mass producing stuff.....but why cant they make machines that make these super proper like paintin etc. overall building it. wouldnt it be faster than having children and people of all ages doing it by hand. jk about the children hope they dont make em lol???

got my pair at the mall today at FTL...everybody else was sold out

I know, I hope the orders on FNL go through.  But yeh I see several on ebay right now with bids of $240 and still has a few days left...

Then you shouldn't really be complaining about leather when the OG mens or 2011 mens had no leather

Ummm the 1992s were durabuck :\

Durabuck is durabuck and it's been that way for decades. How can they "remaster" durabuck? :lol

Judge the remastered Jordan's on the leather releases
