BORDEAUX 7S JULY 18th 2015

i called FNL earlier today around  5:00 pm east on a unrelated issue & the rep said she couldn't help me with a issue i was having because the computer severs were having tech problems because of the "air jordan retro release".i already received shipping confirmation.

That's typical hypebeast banter

Jordans have been popular since the 80s. Not everyone here is looking for the most limited shoe they could find.

Jordan's have been selling out way before the flood gates open in 2011 for the Concords. The only time JB struggled was when they decided to do those Air Force 1/Jordan's mash up

, everything was sitting and going on sale... CDPs, Doernbecher, Team Jordan's and regular Retros. Jordan Brand is going to sell with or without these hypebeast.

Reason why they struggled during that era was because of them announcing they were done with Retros after the CDPs
QFT PREACH!

Still at my local mall backroom at Champs

Filled out 5 raffles and still didnt get a call

I really don't think the quantities made for this release were absolutely huge.
I think it's lack of interest and demand more than anything.
I picked my pair up at the nearest "big" footlocker but I would guess they only got 2-3 pairs in a 5.5 since my actual local footlocker only had 1. That one is still sitting there though.

I went 10 min before the mall opened and I was the only one there. In and out and the first person to purchase them The only other person to buy a pair was an employee.

Not slandering the 2011 release, just have a much better fit with the 2015s. Personally, a more snug fit just looks better on this shoe, whereas with my 2011's I always felt like I was wearing a 1/2 size too big; and that's with them tied up.

I'm completely satisfied, which isn't often on a $200 sneaker. But both releases were/are definitely appreciated.

Quantities for these were the same as every other GR Jordan. Just not the most popular model/cw (no offense if these are your grails). This release is very similar to the sport blue 6 last year.

that's okay with me.

If the maroons sat I would be so Happy and kindve embarrassed for JB that the Nike Air didn't even sell them out in seconds. I'd be relieved tho

Did I mess up by getting half a size down like the 2011's?  Ordered online so I couldn't try them on...

Agreed. I think this will become more apparent with releases as JB has very little left to retro that they already haven't retroed. They will just continue to repeat themselves over and over in 4-5 year cycles. At each junction people will then act do I get the new retro or stick with the one I got a few years back.

The ironic thing about this is that when I bought my 2011s they were also on shelves sitting all day. I bought these at like 3PM that day. Never thought that 5 years later it would be the same thing

Possibly. I don't have these in hand but all the other remastered VII's have been TTS for me whereas previous VII's were a half size big. What size are you?

They're one of my favourite VII's... but definitely not a shoe I would consider to be a grail. Still worth purchasing for me though since I never owned them. :)

This is why were going to start see in the NA on the OG cw 1-6 now. They have to give you a reason to cop the same shoe again.

For me it was 100% the price tag.

This has been one of my all time favorite models ever since seeing MJ break these out in the All Star game. It was a no-brainer for me to pick up this retro, however…

I had these carted this morning but something about the $189 retail just killed all my love and nostalgia for the shoe. It wasn't an astronomically unaffordable price, but it was enough to make it not fun buying Jordan's. Order cancelled.

I'll probably regret it later, but that was just my mood this morning.

10.  Got 2 pair  of 9.5s (ordered on Finishline so I am not sure I will get them seeing how they still have pairs and may be due to an error).  I may be on the small side of 10 cause I could have prolly worn a 9 in the 2011, they were huge.  Hoping laced loosely these 9.5 fit ok.
