Was thinking bout this the other day, in 2026 it’s generations deep of ppl that their families immigrated here straight from Africa/Caribbean/south and Central America…It’s differences for sure with being here from slavery or immigration but black is black if you ask me

He too young and don’t know that he’s doing, they don’t know where he came from in the political world etc…Basically the typical old head rhetoric when a young person takes over, but sometimes you need someone new and fresh for change but older folks HATE change and following ppl younger than them but you already know that
They even followed the campaign by the conservative /MAGA Sinclair group to limit terms once he got in office

Old guard. But honestly, the current governors office has been funny in the light. One of Wes Moore peoples has been hating on B Scott crime reduction
And Sinclair, plus the white folks who don’t even live in the city, (and have left a long time ago) constantly spread propaganda about B Scott not really improving the city. When if you actually live here, you know it’s night and day from before

Wes Moore is weird on a day to day but as soon as there's some drama or tragedy, he's who you want around. I don't know how to describe it but both him and Aruna Miller are like weird AF on a day to day basis. But when someone needs help or there's a disaster, or people are getting screwed, their office steps up with money or assistance or a commission or a tangible effort to make things right. And they give press conferences where they say the right things and do the right things. He's not perfect but nobody is.
Mayor Scott is dope. He hoops, will rap whole WuTang bars out of nowhere, reps the hell out of Baltimore, and worked his way up on some Busta Rhymes 'momma always said if you not gonna be part of the greatest you gotta be the greatest yourself'.
The old guard here definitely hated on him, but to me it held no weight because he started as a member of city council. Then he worked his way up to chairman of the city council. Then after a year or two, ran for mayor. It was super super close. In fact, Sheila Dixon got more in-person votes so for the first 5 days after election day, Dixon was in the lead and we were all shook
But Scott's vote tallies kept going up with each day of returns (rip Armstead Jones the old elections commissioner), and when everything got certified Scott had barely pulled off the dub.
And Scott comes on the heels of Dixon's previous gift card scandal, Catherine Pugh's book "Scandal" (in quotes cause Trump's nonsense makes Pugh look like child's play), and Jack Young just being a stodgy dbag of an interim mayor.
And you had sheisty people on the sideline trying to be mayor, like Thiru Vignarajah. Fox plant and opportunist more than anything. Wonder if he's going to crawl out the mud again when the next election happens. I really hope not.
But Scott is out there. Marching. Walking. Going door to door to help people. He reps local businesses. He stands up to nonsense national republicans and stays himself. One of his best friends is a black republican woman and she's flat out wild lol. But they did a Verzuz back when that was a thing, and it was great. She's an old school republican from back in the day when it was an actual position you could hold like a normal person, so of course the local republican party shambles that exist HATE her *** and make sure to support anybody but her (but mostly they don't bother really trying cause they know they are getting NO play).
But at least the good thing is Scott has one more term to be in office whenever this next election is. And he should win handily I'd think. There are a bunch of crackpots that run for mayor each cycle. I really don't understand why, but there will be at LEAST 13 or 14 people from the dems, republicans, green party, independents and others that pop up with bootleg websites and trash platforms. And they all go at Mayor Scott now, cause they're coming for the king (but they all miss).
They'll keep trying to pin some scandal on him for the remainder of his time here, how they got Pugh and got the former prosecutor that tried the Freddie Gray cops, but it's kind of painfully obvious Scott is interested in just making people's day to day lives better. He doesn't see himself or carry himself as better than anybody. Great dude. Oh I almost forgot, one of their latest things is trying to pin some scandal on his wife and her old business. They're going to keep fishing for as long as they can. Hope they don't manufacture something cause Scott has done an admirable job in starting the rebuild. Once he dips after his next term, it's gonna be Zeke.
