Black Culture Discussion Thread

We gotta do better man.

They are saying this was another Ime Udoka BOSTON situation.

Dudes ruining whole families. We gotta do better.

NOT being faithfully married is and is going to be the dudes downfall of ALOT of these dudes. Especially if you have so much like him and other guys to lose.

Fellas…….as you are on the come up, find a woman of value and settle down completely. Don’t be like this clown and others and throw everything away for nothing.

Buddy wylin, but I’m sure he’ll get another job though (but probably not HC at that big of a school).

The game is the game, some people make dumb decisions. Folks are gonna turn it into something bigger than that tho.

People REALLY let a clear clown, with rainbow hair and tattoos on his face… walk around here like he was a street dude.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. People really thought this dude was of the street :lol :lol :lol. Credibility lost.

Dudes like 50 and Jim Jones calling buddy the KONY :lol

I’d like to know WHEN, where and WHY did hip hop/rap fans stop caring about lyrics??

You’ve got got dudes who can’t rap trying to blur lines. That’s the problem.

In 2025 nobody would look down on you for having sister wives or having an open marriage.

He was never a hot coaching candidate and was lucky to even have the Michigan job in the 1st place, add that to the crash out after he got caught/fired he’s cooked….If he took his L, disappeared n put in work to get back he might have had a chance to coach on a decent level again but yo threw all that away being a certified milkman

Those schools ain’t rushing to hire a black dude that got fired for this type of foolery AND got locked up afterwards :lol :{

Yea I don't know about all that, that is still not a common lifestyle. Folks would sideeye it, especially the women that agreed to it.
I didn't say it was common, but it happens and I doubt you'd be fired as a head coach for doing it. What's common is men cheating on their wives and Sherrone or Ime's situation ain't gonna change that.

Most of these big time college coaching jobs are in small towns or conservative places, they def not going for any alternatives lifestyles :lol …You have to present yourself as a traditional man with a wife and kids to get the job and keep that image up if you wanna stay in that position

Well there is a correlation between how common a practice is and how acceptable it is in society.

Also, I disagree with that overall point that a coach wouldn't get fired for it.

Sure, a University might not explicitly state someone was fired for it; it would still bring unwarranted attention to the school due to living that lifestyle.

Exactly.

Im glad my bag never depended on me pretending to be something I'm not. Prolly could have made more money but I've never been fired for being me :rollin

I don't think this has anything to do with, "Not being able to be ME" it's about using discernment to move properly in the professional world.

I think it's kinda naive to believe any school would be fine with someone representing their product having multiple wives.

Boosters, advertisers, alumni ALL have to be OK with it. So it isn't even JUST about the school.

We are nowhere near the point where, "Nobody would bat an eye" at a HEAD COACH being in a Poly situation.

Nowhere near.

Sherrone obviously "likes bad *****es and got a ****in problem". I'm not saying it's wrong to do the company thing I'm just saying I'm glad I haven't had to do it. I see Bill Belicheck saying eff your discernment as well. (Privilege tho, I get it)

If you are a grown man in America working a full-time job, you have "put on your best face" (aKa hiding parts of the REAL you) multiple times in your workforce career.

There is no way NOT to.

Bill is the most decorated Football Coach that has lived. Him being the Coach @ a school that has little to no history on the football side of things can't possibly count the same as this situation.

Come on now.

He is also doing nothing more than being in a relationship with a young woman. Sure, it is a slight circus affair but it's North Carolina.

Which part of " privilege, I get it" didn't you comprehend? If you think me and Sherrone are the same you are sadly mistaken. "I never narcd on no one :lol "

You still brought up BB so why wouldn't you expect a response about it regardless of any disclaimer you used?

Never said you and Sherrone were the same.

I simply said your stance of, "I do me out here" is bs. Nobody is "doing them."

We ALL compromise who we really are to assimilate into the professional world.

Bruh if you pull up to an interview talking about two wives, you ain’t getting hired at a LOT of places, even the more diverse, “liberal” ones. You better off just saying you’re single.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch. :smh:
