I was a courier once, and I wore a "sheisty" on chilly days. Thats the intended purpose.
And just like that gentleman, if someone had an issue with my appearance (which sometimes they did with or without a facemask). I would politely tell them they could pick up their pkgs at the station or call customer service to request a white or asian driver and see what happens
Then I would mark that particular address and never go there again. Did that to a rude white guy once, and after weeks of him not getting any packages on his doorstep he saw me on my route and humbly apologized for his behavior.
I'm not sure if that guy went back n forth with the couple. But the one mistake I did hear him admit to was leaving his vehicle open/unlocked. that woman shouldn't have been able to just grab her packages. And I'm sure that escalated things even further.
But I wasn't taking off nothing for anyone. My company issued us facemasks and other items to keep us warm. So, if I'm dressed in compliance with my company's policy that's all that matters.
