Black Culture Discussion Thread

After watching 2 of the videos that you DCAllAfrican DCAllAfrican posted about Jason Wilson……that brotha needs help. A therapist, some counseling or something. You can truly see the effects of growing up without a father in the household for a lot of these dudes out here. It’s not his fault but dam……sometimes in life you can’t focus on your past, just gotta pick up the pieces and move forward.

He said he is currently receiving therapy.

Haven’t seen all the details and dont plan to check into them, but saw something in another thread that they’ve been ******* since “late 2022.” “Late” had to be included because to start that year she was 17. So yeah, Shannon wilding. Fumbled the bag and kicked it out the back of the end zone.

P Present
The presidential race in this country is always between 2 people (the respective candidates of each major party), which means it’s always “the lesser of 2 evils.” There’s no one walking the earth who I agree with about everything, not my best friend, not my wife, not my parents and certainly not a presidential candidate. That said, one party actively works to harm citizens, especially black citizens & other minorities. This administration immediately got in office and said if you’re black with a high ranking govt position, you aren’t qualified. They fired the joint chiefs of staff and replaced him with a guy who needed a waiver to get the position. They’re cutting any funding they can if a company/organization thinks non white men deserve a shot and are qualified.

Now since youre in this thread and was proud that Obama was elected, I assume you’re black. (I know I can be wrong here. )Based on just the stuff up there, proudly declaring you absolutely didn’t vote for Kamala is insane. Even if you’re not black, trump is ruining the country by any objective measure. And he only got that opportunity because he got people to vote against their own interests and convinced a lot of black people that it didn’t matter who won.

What problem are you attempting to solve with your vote?

Yeah he needs to STAY in therapy if he’s still crying the blues about his cousin and family members laughing at him a couple of decades ago.

Can’t forget that he threw in there that his mama laughed at him too :lol :lol :lol

Cmon man

Being clowned about sex (which he has no familiarity with until losing his virginity at 16) made him become a savage all
Of the sudden :lol :lol

People fall for anything nowadays

Yeah he needs to STAY in therapy if he’s still crying the blues about his cousin and family members laughing at him a couple of decades ago.
Are yall doing this on purpose? Does context for sharing a story not matter?

Buddy gotta speak for himself

Hurt people hurting other people and the cycle continues

I could have Wilt numbers but I really don't persue women if I don't feel a connection/attraction.

Dudes out here just sticking their peepee in any warm hole. Pause

Meaningless sex never been my thing

That’s the thing champ…..there should be no story to tell. Meaning this should be an afterthought…..or completely forgotten about on his end, especially at this late stage in his life. Dude didn’t even laugh about it as he recalled the story in the interview. I was like….dude let it go.

Admittedly, I have not watched that interview, or any interview of his. I've seen a few videos of his martial arts classes, but nothing beyond that.

But I was pretty sure as I watched the video and put it together with ehat I know about him that the purpose of sharing the story was to highlight the ****** up ways society will judge manhood...exhibit A being his own mother, whom you would assume would be happy that her son is making wise decisions when it comes to sexual relations, laughed at him for still being a virgin as a teenager.

Honestly, I feel like I'm approaching this convo with yall all wrong...lemme ask, do you include the amount of people men sleep with when judging men and manhood. Do you think society does that? If you do think society does that, do you think it's right/fair?

No. I judge you based off if you’re clean, get money, etc. sex is EASY to get in our society. Why should the next man even be worried about another dudes sex life?

Are you an EARNER? Do you brush your teeth? :lol

**** that dude. Never liked him anyway. Ol Maga wife head ***. Who can we trade him for? Since Nash's revelation ****, lets take him for now.

not explicitly the amount per se, but men & women alike will call a man an ‘incel,’ virgin, or otherwise imply that man that ain’t/can’t get 🍑 is less than & alternatively if man is outchea hunching on any & everything moving than man will also be viewed negatively, so we know on an interpersonal level it happens…and ‘society’ is comprised of individual people that share beliefs, culture, & mores

so if folk are being 💯, the answer, abstractly & implicitly, is yes to all…whether it’s ‘fair’ or ‘right’ is somewhat moot, it just is generally the case that men are judged/valued on being experienced & women less so generally; not that anyone could actually know with any real accuracy on an amount…that some man misunderstand this & internalize their self worth to their ability to get with women is just a related tangent

i too know of man from the viral martial art clips of him training kids w/the fathers showing up, wholesome stuff…while i don’t necessarily subscribe to his depiction of ‘manhood/masculinity’ don’t know what’s controversial or unintelligible about what he retold & how it relates to his point that some men struggle with the often limited/restricted view of what masculinity is?

especially these times where egalitarianism & emotionalism is kinda the virtue but in actuality if man really goes out in the world with those beliefs he is often punished by men & women alike

Hmm.....

I’ve looked at some videos from last year and I can’t believe all you guys let me keep that nappy hair for so long, like I look way better now with the short hair, so I’ll be keeping this going forward.” -

Any man worrying about how much poon another man gets has always been suspect IMO. It’s along the lines of running trains. Suspect. Just my opinion though

where are guys really ‘worrying about how much poon another man gets’ tho? i think if you are committed to a misunderstanding, no amount of logic will suffice…amongst a friend group, man can be competitive about anything so it can just be a jokes ting because as previously stated men are judged, in part, on their ability to pull women, which is a subjective superficial/surface judgement but there is also an inherent understanding that man that appears/comes off as lacking/thirsty or is a complete hound can be a liability in certain situations

Truly never understood the desire to do this.

could/would never be on this timing but i do understand that guy’s are opportunists when it comes to 🍠 🍠🍠 (😂 the yams) & men are generally more ‘deviant’ (not exactly the right word) when it comes to sex, some of which is on nature some on the repression put onto women…the thing i never understood (at the time when this would have been a concern anyways) was how high school & college aged girls were so down for the get down, it really changed my perspective on women

I NEVER looked at Mahomes as being black. Even when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl the first time and the media was saying “this is the first Super Bowl with 2 black quarterbacks”….i was like yeah Hurts is 1, but who’s the other.
