granted modern life has complicated much of everything but all things being equal, granted this is almost never the case & people weigh differently certain attributes, wouldn’t most women prefer a man w/access to more resources than one w/less & don’t men prefer a certain flush, youthful look & hip to waist ratio on women…do they need to be sold this? given that these understood almost inherently men & women will both play on those to get what they want…so manipulation is always afoot but i’m not sure it’s all that much brain washing (propaganda definitely exists but i’d put that it’s own distinct category)
Idk from a man's perspective, is that REALLY what we like or is it what society told us we are supposed to like? The older I got and the more experience I got, I noticed there was a difference between what I thought I liked and what I actually liked. I dont discriminate so when I find my self checking white women...especially celebs, I ask myself do I really find this women attractive or does she just fit the societal standard of beauty so I make myself attracted?
EDIT: Related Unrelated: I also think social beauty standards are why a lot of black men go crazy of thick/curvy white women. We've been told for so long they white women are skinny then one day you in the grocery story and Emma come around the corner with 2 in the trunk and we don't know how to act.
