if any of you can trace your ancestors to the late 1800s - early 1900s, you can look them up to see if they received a land grant from the govt.

EXACTLY! I always brag about my grandparents and great grandparents. My mom has told me so many stories about my great grandfather. He was born in 1900 and died in 1982. They said he wasn’t NOTHING to be played with and loved his family.

My family has ALWAYS been homeowners. Damn near all my family members young and old have homes. High School diplomas, college degrees, money in the bank.

I just never understood the “woe is me” mentality for you’re whole life. Like damn, y’all don’t want to stunt and put on for your family? I tell people all the time that I grew up with a platinum spoon, forget a silver spoon. My family is still flourishing and thriving to this day

Saying we got our 40 acres in reference to the Homestead Act (whcih didn't give us any property when it was created), is called conflating.

Charlemagne sits up on the podcasts playing along with all those gay white boy humor "jokes." They claim they do it to make the bigots uncomfortable but They be having too much fun with it. I don't get it.

I almost seems like Sexxy Red isn't popular in the black community. Everyone talks about how bad she is and her album only sold 28k sales(Google says 500k now but we know them numbers are fugazi. Thanks Drake!) and the highest ranking single was #10 and it had a slew of bigger artist on it. Maybe we're keeping her around by constantly talking about her? idk Maybe we're doing the thing again and focusing on the wrong things.

The average 16-20 something year old male or female has parents who are in their 30s or 40s. THE PARENTS themselves are either listening to that type of artist or hip to it.

People want to blame the kids all the time but the PARENTS are equally worse. Again, the 30, 40 year adults nowadays is drasticallyyyy different than those of the past. A lot the parents are experiencing arrested development. You’ve got women in that age range getting BBLs, wearing form fitting clothes, it’s not the music.

It’s the PEOPLE. Go to any grocery store, mall, etc and the 30 and 40 year old women actually look AND dress like Sexxy Redd.

So, is it really Sexxy Redd? No, IMO. She’s just acting like a lot of other women who are in their 20s, 30s and 40s

I’m 37. A lot of my peer group (ages 32 - 40 something) a lot of these people only talk about sex and relationships on IG and FB. I stopped posting on facebook damn near a decade ago. Just started using it again and some of the things people talk about that use to be “private” dialogues is crazy. Some of the commentary people talk about is astonishing.

Sex and sexual imagery is being pushed be by damn near everyone Aged 20 or older on SM. It’s a societal thing. Can’t blame that on Sexy Redd.

America has an appetite for sex. It’s quite ridiculous

Thats why folk always trying to point I finger at someone for their darkside. Folks here want to get upset because a weather lady has some curves meanwhile in place like Mexico is a job requirement.

Everyone doesn’t. Some people know how to control their urges. Some people know how to keep their exploits private. It’s like saying everyone is a drinker or drug user.

I’ve been using FB, IG, Twitter etc for 10-20 years and I never talk about sexual stuff. I’m literally on to crack jokes, talk sports and fashion and cars.

Meanwhile, some people type and post sexual imagery allllll day. Men and women. I never once thought about taking a pic in my draws and posting it online. Again, open up IG, FB or Twitter even if you don’t follow that type of content, it’s literally shoved in people’s faces

It's funny watching the hypocritical shift on NT from the female appreciation threads etc to what it is now. People who grew up in the era where people were hype over tongue rings, thongs/low rise jeans and BET uncut clutching pearls now.

Sexy redd is a soft Target. Rapper lyrics in general are scrutinized more than singers etc.

This lady has 42 million followers on IG. Sexy redd has 5

My team has our first home game of the season, we're going to put BTA on the other team they have weak ball handlers and we're pressing all game until the mercy rule kicks in and the clock runs.

Then I'm popping open this bottle of Don, going to the club and hoping to hear some Sexxy Red.

At 37 years old, when you say adults, what do you mean? And what do you mean by "consumed" with it. Also, its not the same thing. Most people equate internet attention to $$$. They using sex(uality) because its easy and it works. If a person wants to get laid, especially a woman, they'll just go out and do it. SM doesn't have to be involved at all.
