Man that Sandra Bland pissed me off to the highest level of pisstivity. These cops need to get with.
Did you feel her attorney when he found out?
Man..I felt it through the screen
It always amazes me how movies like this get made. Even a small movie like this still has hundreds of people in the process. So the group of people thought this idea up, wrote a script, had a casting call, found actors, went into pre-production, shot the film without a single person saying "wtf are we doing here?" Also, shame on the black people who are actually in this movie.

I don't understand why black folk seek white validation so much. This begging for crumbs needs to stop.
this SAME EXACT convo has been going since Kanye first started to get backing 5+ years ago & i don't see how people have yet to see the bigger picture. The fashion industry is a multi billion dollar industry that is heavily influenced & shaped by our culture at this point. Yet these fashion houses keep a very tight knit circle & try not share the resources with the same culture they profit off of.
Getting signed with LVMH isn't seeking white validation, it's seeking a partnership that has the infrastructure & factories that allow you to create on the same level as your white counterparts. Rihanna, Kanye, Virgil, Jerry Lorenzo, Don C, Pharrell etc etc have shown what they can create & the success they can reach when they are allowed the same opportunities.
Yeah but sometimes it isYeah collaborating with major brands is not always seeking white validation
Rihanna is now dating an Arab.
I dont see how this is a win for the culture
Even Beyoncé understands that sure she could start ground up with her own brand but it makes more sense to combine with what's already been established by signing with Adidas. Would have been interesting to see how successful she could have been tho, if anybody could have started ground up and succeeded Bey would be the one
Indeed we all love black owned businesses (which her & Jay have started plenty). However i think people see these celebs net worth & think that it's just easy for them to invest all their capital into one venture and create it 100% on your own. That may be able to happen on a smaller scale as in online stores 1-2 brick & mortar stores etc etc.
However when dealing with billion dollar companies and worldwide releases that people like Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye etc etc are trying to reach, they have to reach to companies that are already established and have a history of success to get things done efficiently & correct. I think people mistake that as asking for a handout or not wanting to work hard
She's trash bro. I supported her when she first came on the scene but I can't no more. She been high rank k00ning since girls trip. It's getting uncomfortable watching her. She feel like she has to play the "Rachet sistah girl" 24/7. That's why white folks take to her and Cardi B. They're exaggerated stereotypes. What's crazy about Tiffany though is she like 40 years old. She showed know you don't have to be in character and put on a show every time it's a camera on you
I'm with you, I just personally would love to see an elite tier star step out and create it 100% on their own. To see them buy into themselves on that level and see how far it takes them would to me amazing to see how it all develops. Also would be interesting to see if the more established brands do any behind the curtain sabotage or adding bumps to the road keep em "in check"
"regular" people definitely think it's easy to just start a huge business and compete with the bigs like Nike out the gate for celebrities. Even I fell victim to thinking Ye should just get it out the mud instead of complaining about the industry but soon learned the reality of it all
