I cannot even front. I have read a few of those books already off that list but the list in its entirety is pretty legit and hefty!

Also after thumbing through this list, I am even more sure that Black folks need to knock off that marching, protesting, we shall overcome swag and attack them back. officer wilson is one lucky dude to be still breathing man. Somebody in ferguson needs to put that gps out on ole boy and if not him then his next of kin. This will fade after a few weeks and another case will come up just like this if not worse. Then what? When do we draw the line and fight them back?

I always thought the marching and singing method was pretty outdated. The cops have evolved from that, hence why they have no problem showing out in Ferguson. Real action and tactics should replace these old doings.

It is obviously happening too frequently especially amongst punk white racists who would not square up and box a mike brown in the street but will dump 11 times on a guy with no gun or weapon on him

I'm sick of this crap and super sick of Blacks resorting to marching, protesting, begging, etc instead of killing these types of cops back. We need to stop killing each other as well but usually when Blacks kill one another, it resorts to both parties dead or in jail. These cops are getting new passports, id's, and address changes on site as soon as they kill one of us with no jail no death. I'm not cool with that.

It was a lawful homicide in self defense, not murder. But you have your opinion, and I have mine, and this is not the thread for it. I'm down for war if necessary, but we haven't exhausted any other options. I posted a few possible solutions a few pages back, all very real and workable.

We're too vulnerable to fight back using force. We need to get a strong economic base first. Then we can come up with an agenda to enact laws in our favor. Violence is the last resort.

In order to talk about solutions, we need to talk about goals for our community.

Equality if opportunity - I think America has made great strides in this area. However, in order for most to exercise their equality of opportunity they must be afforded the knowledge to know what to do once they get there. A PRACTICAL real world, education in trade and finance, beginning at increasingly younger ages, is the best way to fulfill this promise. Legal, trade, finance, all should be taught ad nasuam to highschoolers, with extra devotion being given to the hood. Profitable (actual money) high schools should be strived for. School bonds

Freedom - criminal justice overhaul. Less militarization of the police, end to the drug war, end to the privatization of prisons, more training for police officers (off some police college type steez). Police bonds.

Higher taxes on national/multinational corporations

Trade unions

More local shopping/reinvestment into community

Less political correctness/more freedom of thought

Gerrymandering

More people voting

These are my goals, and they aren't exclusive to the black community. They are also goals which are federal, easily applying to all states. They are also goals which can be applied at the individual level
