I clicked a Youtube video and got a serious virus recently. That sucked. System Restore took care of it. Usually that will take care of things. Ifit's worse, do an Ad-Aware scan in Safe Mode and go through the individual registry keys and delete the bad files. It's time consuming, but it's100% effective.Originally Posted by KenJi714

Are you sure it was a genuine "Youtube video" link? Perhaps you clicked a link to a phishing website of sorts. Using System Restore toremove one virus (supposedly from Youtube) is completely OD'ing it. Why lose all of your files (or go through the hassle of backing them up) when you cansimply use a trustworthy anti-virus program to remove the said virus? Moreover, recommending individuals on Niketalk (or the vast majority of other onlineforums for that matter) to edit their registry is a terrible idea. Registry editing isn't common knowledge, and if it's done improperly, the resultscan ruin one's computer.Originally Posted by dmbrhs

Run those programs in Safe Mode. They can't re-install in safe mode.Originally Posted by ChrisPhenephom
