benchpress with feet on the bench?

less leverage.. much harder to balance?

Works your core muscles. Trains you to balance forcing ur abs to work as well as your chest

Good if you trying to build functional strenght I guess.
Not good for building strength or mass. Without planted feet you dont have power.

Try it once.

I throw them in to my routine every so often.....and I have to reduce my weight from my normal bench by about 1/3. And you feel it.

All about engaging your abdominals... Makes the basic bench press a more meaningful exercise

I prefer doing one armed dumbell presses. You're working your core and stabilizing muscles in your shoulders.

^ Word......Mens Health recently said that is the #1 exercise for building chest strength.

One arm DB presses are no joke...I've been doing those consistently in my chest workouts for the past couple of months. If you stick with it, you'llsee some nice gains in your physique and overall strength.

it's definetely tougher, but I JUST added this into my routine.
we'll see how it goes.

I do it and it's really not as much core as youd think.

When you put your feet on the bench, you can't arch your back and "cheat" on the lift, it gives your chest a better workout.

ive seen it done with feet crossed and at a 90 degree and is this the same or more difficult as well should u still do it at the regular position with feet onground?

I like one armed dumbbell presses but I mix it up every 3-4 weeks between bench workouts and dumbell workouts.

Thing with dumbell workouts is that I use 90-100lb dumbells on the flat bench, and sometimes I feel like my wrists will give in the second I angle it wrong (mywrists are frail).

What supplements you been on lately? I just got on a cycle of winthrol and it really is helping my chest game.

I hate doing bench presses with my feet on the bench. I think its worthless. The amount it takes away from your bench > the amount of work it does to thecore.

The one arm DB press is good though as a burnout set.

I agree. I think benchpressing without your feet on the ground is senseless. Keeping your feet on the ground stabilizes you so you can perform the big lifts togain muscle. However, if you just want definition nothing beats pushup variations.
