Look at the Roc's run Vs. G-Unit's run.
How can you even say Roc had a run, Jay Z was the ONLY artist to drop on that label until Memph Bleek's debut in 99 which failed to go gold, then Beansdropped in 2000 (I think Rell dropped an album that went nowhere in the late 90s)...
They didn't have another platinum artist on the label until 6 years after Reasonable Doubt & that was Cam, who ended up leaving in 3 years after, Jay Zgot jelous... You would think a label that couldn't manage to produce another artist that could sell a million would be happy for another successful rapperand his ENTIRE movement joining the label and making the roster A LOT stronger... NOPE, Jay Z was jelous of Cam's shine...
Then no one else went plat until Kanye in 04... So thats 8 years in between 3 different acts goin platinum...
Where as the first release on G Unit was Beg For Mercy - Multi Platinum, the 2nd release Hunger For More - Multi Platinum, 3rd Straight Outta Cashville -Platinum, Documentary - Multi Platinum, Massacre - Multi Platinum, Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon - Gold, GRODT soundtrack - Platinum...
Thats all in a 2-3 year span... Every artist that dropped on the label either went Multi-Platinum/Plat/or Gold... Where as Roc A Fella needed someone who Damebrought in to acheive the same feats... Much like Dame was the one to bring Kanye to the Roc... But yall gonna give Jay Z all the credit?? You can't beserious...
The Roc wasn't even considered an active label until Dip Set came there, they had 3 artists that came out for 6 or 7 years... & Jay was the only onereally selling units...
Lets not forget cats that were down with the Roc from waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back that never did $!!$

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Biggie didn't bring Jay-Z into mainstream like Eminem did 50. Jay-Z was already coming up with Reasonable Doubt, Eminem signed 50, Jay-z and Damon Dash did their own thing. Roc-a-Fella went strong for almost over 10 years. G-unit fizzled out after The massacre.
So Jay Z appearing on Life After Death (which is the highest selling hip hop album since) did nothing for Jay Z who failed to go gold on theorginal release of Reasonable Doubt didn't help him?? Appearing on Brooklyn's Finest, or the Dead Presidents video, or Ain't No N vid... BIGputting him on Lil Kim's debut (which sold more then Jay's) didn't help him??... Jay Z got
ALOT of help, Foxy saved his career,Irv Gotti is what got him on Def Jam to begin with, ROC was on Prorioty
@ Roc A Fella going "Strong" for 10 years...
I don't know if you are too young to remember, or just an idiot, but you don't know what you're talkin about...
