Bachelor Pad.

Congrats my dude. I'm bout to start that process myself 26 and feel it's time to move from my momma spot into my own place but the bay is real real expensive. Pray for me fellas haha

Good luck. I hope you have someone to help you out, there's a lot of confusion and things you won't understand doing it for the first time. My mom helped a lot and we had a close family friend who served as my broker.

I feel like trying to pick out the right color combos for my living room and bedroom has been a harder challenge than actually finding my apartment. So stressful

It's with great pride and relief that I can finally announce I'm officially a home owner. After about 7 months of searching + all the legal mumbo jumbo, it's all over, today I closed on my new home. It's been my life goal, #1 on my bucket list, to move out and be on my own and it's finally happening. I can now enthusiastically cross off #1 off said bucket list. Let the fun begin!

what are the specs of your new place?

I know you may be stuck on that style, its nice, but their are a ton of Liquor cabinets on Craigslist. I wouldn't spend a lot as it is usually one of the first furniture items to be discarded when you move. I have found many to say they no longer have a place for it.

downtown LA is pretty dope. I've been steady going down there friday/sat nights. I could imagine myself living there. traffic is nasty but if you work close by it's manageable.

Pegasus...w/ the rooftop pool :x

Hikari in Little Tokyo was mentioned, really dope architecture

Pico has all my favorite lunch spots

All the cafes, Roscoes, Midtown crossing, P.I.P.S.

I love that area but it's EXPENSIVE AS **** when you pass La Brea...Hancock Park to the North, Westside/West L.A. to the West, Even going south, there's pockets of Venice that are super expensive.

Kal...some of them Jewish girls are bad, I don't blame you, bruh.

No. I'm repainting the walls to my liking, ripping up carpet in the bedroom for hardwood floors, putting a new closet in and new cabinets in the kitchen.

Then putting all new furniture in.

It's a start from scratching thing for me

Without a doubt! My wife and I changed all of them. Had cleaners come in and everything. Our home was not move in ready, it was a short sale. OMG the mess we had to clean up.

Went furniture hunting again today and found a few more great pieces I'll be adding to the home. I was so excited finding a perfect and comfortable sectional that was the exact size i needed.

Also found an amazing clock for the living room I fell in love with.

Got a great deal on a sound bar I was eyeing for months $150 cheaper then I thought it was at Best Buy.

Still hunting for a solid TV stand to hold my 65inch tv with a specific space for a sound bar.

This is the one I originally wanted - Sonax B-003-RBT Bromley 75-Inch 2 Tier TV Bench, Ravenwood Black it's $499.99 but it's sold out everywhere. Literally everywhere.

This is the one I'm currently looking at - Sonax B-207-CHT Holland 70.75-Inch Extra Wide TV/Component Bench, Ravenwood Black -same company, retail price $349.99

Here is the newest tv stand I found also $350 also Sonax

my sound bar (Polk Audio SurroundBar 5000) is 31 inches and the space in that ^ stand for the sound bar is 33 inches so it just fits

700

still searching though...but that's where I'm at so far.

Thanks for all the kind words so far

Liquidate it.

Unless you're just going for a few months, then it's better to storage it.

Man, all you guys making major moves is inspiring!

Don't have my own place yet, let alone the funds to fill said place with the type of furniture a lot of you guys are purchasing, but I am real big on DIY projects.

Made myself a quick little TV stand after seeing something similar on the internet. I was real cheap about it so I just went to Hone Depot, picked out the nicest cheap wood I could find, some wood stain and a handful of tension rods. Was more of a prototype version of what I intend to build for myself once I get my own space...
