Bachelor Pad.

I knew Nt was elitist towards most things but dam even furniture that's wild. I thought ikea was the greatest thing ever lol

Actually the table I have is a old reproduction of the Noguchi table I found on craigslist by a local company that makes some nice stuff. It's probably a step up from the other reproductions but definitely not as nice as an authentic. Just needed something cheap to get me by. Besides, I don't think I hang out with anyone who'd actually give me crap about it being authentic or not. It's not that serious to me.

Definitely gonna add a rug mat on my next check. My real Eames chair should come in on Monday. Just going to keep my eye out for art and maybe some plants if I see anything. Dropped 2.5 on the sectional alone so I need to slow down lol.

Just got this in the mail and need to find a spot for it...

Dope! Whats crazy is I was planning on getting the Calvin and Hobbes dance print framed! :smokin

Bill Watterson actually just unveiled new art for the first time in years earlier today!

What a coincidence!

Finally had some time today to put up two images I had rasturbated. One's Van Gogh's Starry Night and the other is Bob Marley. :pimp:

Anyway, I said I'd put up a few pics but I haven't really had time to organize like I wanted to.

So far I still need to grab an TV stand, a dining table, and a chest of drawers. Debating on a coffee table but I'm not sure. Kinda digging the idea of the extra space. Been buying everything piece by piece. Truly doing it on my own for the first time. A lot of empty space to fill, but that comes along with it I guess. Here's a few pictures I snapped today.

Sorry for the crappy iPhone picture. :smh:

I'm personally not a fan of using the same types of wall art in different rooms, but they look pretty well done.

Yeah I know. The TV I have now is actually a loaner from  my mom until I get my 46" back from this repair shop. Getta get that first, then plan on buying the stand after I get back from spring break.

Any recommendations on stands? Wall art? Where should I go next?

I think also a small night stand next to the bed would look great, good place for an alarm clock, lamp, books, condoms etc.. it would also fill in some bedroom space.

You mentioned wall art but another great thing for wall decor is a clock, I prefer the larger size that are like ~2 ft in diameter, leaves less negative space. I saw a few at Ikea a long time ago, I don't know if they still carry the larger sizes. it would look well on the larger wall next to the fridge, that way you can look over to the right from the couch and see the time.

You're right about the dinning room table, there is a lot of empty space there, it stands out a lot too, i'm sure once you have the stand & table it will be easy to add items here and there :smokin

Edit: found a pic of a good size wall clock

I want to say I've seen one at Target

Blink, would you ever consider removing the popcorn ceilings? I'm tempted to do mine myself but scared about how bad it'll look underneath it. The place is really old and it shows

Really haven't considered any renovations. Thought about painting the walls, but I probably won't. This is just the place where I'll be staying for a year or so til I get my masters degree. Probably be here a year and a half, two at best.

Unless I get in to UGA law, I won't be staying in Ga after that. Really thinking about moving out to Washington state, Seattle to be exact. Though I heard that place is pretty segregated and uppity. :smh:

I hear ya.

It's hard when getting your first place because you want to turn it into your dream home right away. At least that's how I feel, having a hard time being reasonable with my renovations and I have a DIY bug right now. Trying to do way too much knowing that I won't be in it for too long

I'm trying to keep it all in perspective. I'd love to make this place ALL my own, but the reality that I'll be shelling out money for a temporary living arrangement always sets back in. Just can't bring myself to spending too much just to have my leasing office tell me I have to return it to how it was prior to all the work I did to it.

For right now, its just about the necessities to make it feel like home. So far the reception from females have been positive so I think I'm doing a good job. They appreciate the subtlety. That, plus the fact that I mention this is temporary and I have bigger aspirations than living in this apartment seems to impress.

Seattle is a little  uppity, but I love it. Has a little bit of everything over here.

Was painting a room today and ran out of paint and store was closed, feels bad bros. I wanted to get it all done today since the whole room was supposed to be done two weeks ago.
