Asics Love?!? Where is it?

What size? That seems pretty pricy. These can typically be had for close to retail which I believe was $170.
Size 9... Thanks for that info, I will keep looking. I'm going to The Gorge in Washington in September, looking to grab them before then so I got some time.

Awesome! Where in the Sierras did you hike? We did a hike in Yosemite this weekend to Cathedral Lake.

Tempted to pick these up. Can you give me a review on them vs some traditional hiking boots? Are they easy to clean off?
Hiked the High Sierra Trail which is in Sequoia National Forest and we summited Mt. Whittney on the last day. It was a 8 day hike. Wish I had time to go up to Yosemite but couldnt make it work.

As for a review:

They were great! I was a bit concerned with how they would actually do but was very pleasantly surprised. The two other guys i was with both wore traditional hiking boots (pairs of $300+ at that) so i was interested in how they would match up. First and most importantly, the Bodegas were way lighter! When hiking for a week every ounce matters. The goretex liner worked perfectly for stream crossings where jumping from rocks to logs was the only option. Obviously they can only handle like 3 inches of water were the boots are taller but, that being said, It rained all day once and everyones footwear was soaked inside and out. That night mine dried super fast by the fire and the other guys had wet boots for a couple days. Boots dont dry quick once wet! Comfort was as good as i have ever had. No blisters and no sore feet. Boots were the exact opposite (and yes all three of us had broken in our footwear beforehand). Grip was decent even on snowy rocks and ice. Really the only draw back i can see from the Bodegas is durability when compared to boots. They held up just fine for me but i was only hiking for 8 days. The rubber on the toe peeled as they were dragged over rocks and stuff but a little glue and that will be good to go. Boots can last years of hiking and i just dont think these could last that long. On a side note...we ran into a lot of people hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and 90% were wearing ultra light runners. Yes, they are extremely easy to clean off and i beat the sh*t out of them. The ripstop nylon is a dream to clean and the suede is suprisingly durable. Overall, light weight, waterproof liner, and comfort made these a fantastic pair for my trip!

Yeah I'm about to grab a pair, been wanting them for a while. Is 230 shipped a good deal?
200 and below and id pull the trigger. I wore mine constantly this winter and now, after the hike, they are gonna be my go to beaters. Love them!

I recently hiked Yosemite upward to Nevada falls, in some a pair of iguana roshes, plan on doing. Half dome soon but given the slope of the final leg of the hike I Defiantly won't be going up in some roshes

How was the traction of the GLV when u were hiking?

ubiqs just came in. Really great quality and look that much better in hand. I do appreciate the free stuff like watergun, beer opener and shirt but what sense does giving someone who wears a size 11 shoe a small t shirt??? lol not much thought in that process.

Better than expected. No slippage on granite faces (which is what the entire Sierra Nevadas are including Half Dome) and they even did well on a few icy spots near the summit of Mt. Whittney. Are they as good as boots...maybe not but they are just fine. Oh and thats was with a 50 lb pack so maybe the extra weight helped with grip haha idk.
