Asics Love?!? Where is it?

they're nice. not for everyone i guess. box **** isn't even that cool, but the shoe trees are sweet.

they come with 3 sets of laces. semi tonal ropes and and an off white flat with faux metal aglets (aka painted silver). neither will make into the shoes. just not better than the oems.

my pairs is pretty perfect but i know dudes who go pairs with terrible stains on the toe and dudes that walked out with no socks in their box. they didn't even have extras to buy, so those dudes didn't even get a pair. kind of sucks since i bet the socks are more than the brush and shoe horn. probably the trees too.

sizing is like what people say about st alfreds or kfe. but for me they're a little big, but not enough to go down a size..but I'm between sizes.

packer should have shoveled the side walk. list was honored and people say that you had to be "friends of family" to get on that list. nah my buddies came up from philly and don't even know any of the dudes. i don't either. you just had to be there. it would be naive to think that there wouldn't be any camping in one form of another. but overall it sucked.

I feel like packer is gonna do a random online drop....they originally told me when I was in there a couple weeks ago they were gonna be available online, then all of the sudden that gets scrapped...doesnt make sense

Just need to get a few things off my chest about the release...first, they stayed loyal to the list. If you're number 150+ at any camp out and don't realize your pair is very likely in jeopardy it is ON YOU ...and those who hung around for hours when it was announced a million times that if you didn't have a wristband you wouldn't be getting a pair...well you just have yourself to blame. I was towards the back and confused about where my spot was in line b/c of all the who people who showed up sourfaced at the last second...so I basically was toward the front the whole time making sure my number didn't get skipped. That means I watched the front the whole time, NO ONE was walking about with multiples....those were people carrying bags for their girls/children you FOOLS

And I would not call this a bad job as far as organization goes. I have seem lists get completely ignored, everyone who was there EARLY ENOUGH (i.e. at the very damn least before 7 am) was able to get a pair. All you chumps who showed up at 9 am shooting dirty looks spouting this and that out of the orifice I so wished I could throw a muzzle on and making allegations which involved experienced sneakerheads being somehow affiliated with the store....you all go jump off a bridge. Sucked the positive vibes out of the whole morning.

Wanna see something interesting????

Here's the link on ps941.com to last year's snow beach release...if you have been a fan of packer shoes for merely at least 7 months and don't have short term memory loss you would remember this:

http://ps941.com/2014/08/05/release-info-saucony-grid-9000-by-packer-shoes-launching-08-08-14/

In case you are too lazy too read far enough (which I will confidently assume you are) here it is in plain text from that release:
  • Available size run of the Packer x Saucony Grid 9000 is men’s size 5 thru 14.
  • Line-up for this release will begin Friday morning @ 9am EST. NO EARLIER. Customers will be served on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.
  • Anyone seen lining up prior to 9am Friday morning will be escorted off the premise, thus automatically forfeiting their chance to purchase!!!!!!
AHHHHHH so you see now huh??? Maybe mr. packer was weeding out the true hypbeasts....the true SHEEP. Don't be salty cos' those far more seasoned in this game knew how to go about their night/early morning. It's not the dudes who sacrifice their time/bodies in the freezing cold who are messing up the game...its the *******s showing up at the last second thinking they somehow deserve a pair over others who are ******* it up.

And as far Mr. Packer's decision making is concerned...he stayed loyal to those who knew the deal. The rest can suck it...he could do whatever he wants with his pairs. Grimy...yea sure a lil, but nothing compared to some of the ish i have seen recently. Especially this one shop that just opened up a pop-up location in nyc on a street named after a certain famous river...won't name any names tho.

Btw I love how my brooklyn/new york brethren got on my case first about the post hahaha sorry but I had to get it off my chest

Maybe I'm missing something, but are you saying you need to show up before mr packer's scheduled line up time to have a chance at a pair?

If so, I don't see the point of saying there's a designated line up time in the first place. Let alone, attach a disqualification threat to it that is clearly not acknowledged.

I'll take those outsourced Asw security dudes at mercer any day. They knew how to run a line, ask anyone who was there that Sunday.

^Listen...reflecting on my post I was being harsh. They should have at least covered for another hundred people with regular asics boxes...not excuse for that. But would it hurt to show up a couple hours early to see what it going on at least? Worst comes to worst you walk around the suburbs or go to a deli for a little while. That's why I don't understand the complaints...how do you not at least not have a feeling that showing up directly at 9 am would not work at well? It reeks of lack of experience.

All I am really trying to say is don't blame the people in front of you in line for you not getting a pair. Like a bunch of 7 year old minds in grown *** male bodies...it's a scary thing actually.

I only blame myself when I miss a release, but chaos in a lineup comes from poor management from above imho. And it's comments like those packer posted about being escorted away for showing up before 9 that reek of ignorance to me.

Lurking around a neighborhood before the lineup not only sounds like a terrible idea of fun but trouble in the making. Let alone in jersey. But then again, maybe that's why I prefer Manhattan.

So it supposed to be 1990 pairs total.....

How many stores got the Packers and how many pairs they got?! Like 30 stores, prob 4 FSR max...so 1000/1200 pairs... + 200 pairs at Packer....

Where's the rest?!!

This is what I don't get. No way all 1990 pairs got sold today

You guys are lucky you actually had a chance at pairs. Here in Oregon I didn't have a chance whatsoever, somewhat local Seattle is a 3-4 hour drive but when working full time and i had to enter a raffle to have a chance no way that was happening for me. I'm hoping they have some sort of online release as I really wanted these to rock.!
