Asian Culture Discussion Thread

Hold up you guys are going Full Asian. I'm just trying to get this 1/10. I'm not eating stinky tofu, quail eggs, eels or turtles.

Is chopstick use really a staple of being Asian?
Filipinos are about that fork and spoon life (or kamayan)
Are there any other SE Asian countries where chopsticks aren't the predominant utensils?

I can use chopsticks btw

From what I see, spoons are just as important in Korea.

thais, malaysians, indonesians use it when theyre needed. if youre eating noodles in those countries, there will be chopsticks. if youre going to a rice place there wont be chopsticks.
if filipinos eat pancit though they still use forks.

Not sure if you intended to mention they turned into the Jabawockeez so casually haha but they’re a huge deal and global now. That’s cool.

I mean, I didn't know who they were when I met them. This apparently happens to me a lot. I met some (retired) basketball stars in the last year, no clue who they were. It happened to me too when I met some guy named Jerry Rice up at my family's house. I just thought he was a neighbor chillin'. I'm bad at recognizing people!

LOL! I swear when I met them, I thought it was strange that they were all dressed with masks when they performed. I'm like, these cats can dance but what's with the masks?! My ex told me I shouldn't laugh. He was right.
