Do I have a better chance at verizon or the apple store friday?
I'd say either fa real. Apple inventory is huge but the line be crazy as hell. I worked at VZW and we had people coming in all day copping iPhones. It was about 8-10 people waiting once our store opened. We sold out twice but the Apple Store allowed us to get some phones from there inventory. Just get there early enough

Most ppl end up seling/trading in their phone anyway. Dont see what the problem is

And i thought it was 1 year/ half the phone price.

Problem is you're paying off a phone you get no residual value back in return for. You also become the loser, because you've already paid off 2/3 of your phone, when you could just sell it yourself and probably get more money back in return.

Man if y'all getting the Aron's and rent a center ATT plans y'all deserve to be broke

patience wait you can up grade

or

if you can't come up with 200-400 dollars for a luxury phone maybe you shouldn't buy it or wait to stack up

don't fall for these NEXT and Jump plans.

that's a way for these companies to make you pay for the phone and keep you under contract. before the contract was a way for the company to pay for part of the phone and you agree to stay with them now they jerking both ways
you do realize its all the same right? Pay a 2 yr contract and pay an extra 25-30 bucks even when you dont buy a new phone, or pay 25-30 bucks less per month AND get zero down payment and pay the extra 25-30 only when you buy a new phone.

lol Its amazing how people dont grasp the concept of these systems, 2 yr contract and financing your phone is all the same.

Dude thought he was really saying something like it's not all the same price :lol :lol

The 4 is still the best looking iphone yet.
This space grey should have been replaced by a flat or matte black, even a brushed Aluminum.

If the Gold or a Silver are the only ones in stock because everyone is grabbing Grey's I'm waiting.
These folk on Instagram customize iPhone 4, 4s, 5, and 5s. Pretty sure they'll be on the 6 too. Check em out

Anybody know how muh a month your early termination fees go down? I owe $150 if I leave now and my contract ends dec 29

Why is it hard for people to accept that not everybody wants to buy a phone for retail and then go on ebay to sell for $400 after 2 years :lol

You guys are leaving out one big part....early termination fees vs. no ETF on an installment plan, the only thing you'd pay off is what you owe on the actual phone under the installments vs. paying $250 (?) for breaking the contract. idk if they still bill you for the balance of the phone or what.

Have you even looked at the ATT next plans? lol VZW Edge was modeled after ATT Next, the discount is on the line access.
man you are the only here drinking that cool aid no one here agrees with you if your ATT customer your getting ripped off point blank

long story short the promo helps you, but no company letting you cop a phone and save money over the long run on the regular

Regarding IPhone 6+ availability on Release Date 9/19.

I understand that PreOrders have sold out at all retailers.

My question is: Will there be 6+ inventory reserved and available for in store purchases on 9/19?

lol what are you talking about? 2 yr contract plans cost MORE than Edge/Next/Jump/etc plans. The reason is because the phone subsidy is built into the rate plan. YOU think youre getting a good deal paying 199 for a phone PLUS having a bill that is 25-30 bucks higher across the board, and say year 3 comes and you dont want a new phone your bill is STILL 25-30 bucks higher.

With the payment plans your bill is CHEAPER when a phone isnt being financed, so after two years or when ever you pay off your phone if you dont finance another phone you are paying less money per month for your bill SAVING you money. 2 yr contract and finance are the same, you save money if you chose not to get a phone but they are the same.

Once again, what is hard to grasp about this?

Using VZW for example.
a 10 gb plan is 100 bucks, and the line access cost for a smart phone is 40 bucks giving you a total of 140, a VZW edge 10gb plan is 100 but you get a discount of 25 bucks on the line access fee so your bill is 115.
So lets say both users want to get a 16gb iphone 6 which is 199 2 yr and 650 full retail/32.49 zero down.
2 yr contract = 199 for phone + 3360 (140 X 2yrs) =3559
Edge customer = 0 down for phone + (147.49 x 24)= 3539.76, the 147.49 comes from the 115 plan and 32.49 phone being financed.
so that is 3559 for 2 yr contract vs 3539 on vzw edge.

NOW lets say on yr 3 you dont want a new phone
with a 2 yr contracty your plan is still 140, so you have 3559 you already paid in 2 yrs PLUS 140X12=1680, so 1680 + 3559 =5239 in the span of 3 yrs.
The same edge customer says he doesnt want a phone a yr 3 and his plan drops from 147.49 to 115 because he paid his phone off so you have the 3539.76 you already paid in the first 2 yrs and 115X12=1380 in yr 3, so 1380 + 3539.76 = 4919.76

5239 - 4919.76= 319.24 saved in 3 yrs if you dont buy a phone in yr 3, and  20 bucks saved if you just do edge instead of a 2 yr contract.

What are the chances that someone signing up for an Edge plan won't want a new phone for 3years? [emoji]128514[/emoji]

What company is out to save you money? :rollin

Let's go over this one more time.

If you plan on getting a new phone every year (new iPhone) let's break it down....

You spend 800 on the new version, take away what you sell your old one for (400 give or take). In total you spend 400 once a year you old phone is no longer yours

On next you spend 400 a year, your old phone is no longer yours

Either way your old phone is gone. Call it renting, leasing, whatever, your old phone is gone and you spend the same amount of money.

I know AT&T hopes there's more people like you that will front them $800 OTD :lol

I don't think you guys are understanding the NEXT plan with At&t. Your not paying 2/3 of the phone and then trading it in for a new one. You can if you'd like. It's like a tradeoff. You can either keep paying the remainder of the 1/3 that you owe after your 12 or 18 months is up and have the phone be completely yours thereafter, or for those that like having a new phone every time one comes out, you can trade in the phone after you've paid the 12/18 months and you won't have to pay the remaining 1/3 balance of the phone.

It's like you're paying $300 (12 months) for your phone to sell it for $250-$300, to get a new phone...you pretty much get your money back depending on how much you've paid for the phone itself...

$25/month x 12 months (the very minimum amount of time Sprint gives you until you can upgrade)= $300

so you trade it in to get a new phone, you start all over...

let's say the company pays you $250-$300 for your old phone, the most you're losing out on is $50 (in this case), but trade that off with any damages, scratches the phone has.

so at the extreme of $300 credit, that get's applied to your new phone balance...($800 to keep numbers simple)

now you owe $500 on that new phone, which you break up into 24 payments (if you keep it for two years, until the iPhone 7 drops) or even 12 months

at 12 months, you're paying $250, with the incremental payments, in which you can upgrade again/trade it in

at 24 months, you're paying $500, with the incremental payments, in which the phone is yours AND you can upgrade/trade it in

250/12 = $21 roughly, $21 per month.

500/24 = $21 roughly, $21 per month.

Wow I didn't pre-order, and I'm glad I didn't.

$200 credit for my 4S from verizon is more than I'll see on the open market. Gladly dumping this for a 64GB 6 and I'll pay $100 out of pocket

People love buying new stuff. Good thing I'm broke right now.
At least you're smart enough to know that broke = you shouldn't buy a phone.

There are a bunch of people on here who are also broke, but are stretching themselves thin to get this phone, via credit, schemes, opening new lines, etc.  Kind of saddening.

Phone isn't going anywhere.

If you pay 24 months the phone is yours to keep. If you wanna upgrade at 18 months then that's when you have to return your phone. My math is horrible but from what I came up with was this
31.01 for 24 months = $744
Sell your phone NOW (iphone5 for me) $250 lowest highest would be $300
Brings $744 down to $494
Now say I wanna upgrade in 24 months
I can just sell my 6+ for $400
Which I'm basically paying $94 on my iphone6plus now?

People on JUMP, Next, etc aren't keeping the phone long enough to pay the full price .. that's whole point.

Dude was right there's no difference btwn me giving my phone in and getting a new phone vs selling your phone and using that $ for a new phone.
