If you have a recent backup on iCloud you can reset and restore your phone from that. I traded in and picked up my phone at the apple store before closing so this is what I had to do.

I did make sure that I backed it up before the tech came so there is definitely a recent backup, I just couldn’t figure out how to do it and I think it is because I didn’t erase or reset the 15 prior to trying to restore the backup. It’s good to know it’s that simple. I’ll do that, thanks man.

Phones aren't meant to get a new one every year. Those days are over.

Unless you want to switch brands, Apple to Samsung to One Plus to Google to Huawaei, etc. every year to get a new experience.

But if you just keep getting the same Pixel and iPhone every year nothing is going to be substantial anymore.

I went from 11 to 16PM. Decided to jump on Visible’s $35 a month plan with watch coverage. With my Apple payment plan and Visible monthly, I’m paying about $5 more than what I was paying T-Mobile.

i was talking to someone today about how my girls m2 mac needs a new logic board, they were also talking about how lame apple is and offers people nothing new but a SLIGHTLY faster chip every year. kinda sad
i think there needs to be a new competitor in the smartphone space to force the big dogs to up their game

Those days may be over for my your/my generation. The next generation is always coming.

I thought my deductible was $49 screen fix and $199 replacement not $0 and $99(I didn’t even know my own benefits, even wasted APPLECARE plan on top of that for a year)
I guess having Verizon Business Acct gives us $0/99.
I will never get another new Phone from my carrier.

When I replace this 15PM I’ll just pay the deductible again when the 17 is out and expect an upgrade to the 16 at that time.

There's no point anymore because technology has hit a peak.. back in the day there was a huge difference year over year but not for the past 4-5 years or so.

Back in the day I was able to get a new phone every year for free / make money on it through my carrier. Basically they allowed us to get a phone for $299 on a 2 year contract but they would allow you to do an 'early upgrade' the following year for $299 again without trading in your old phone or any penalties other than resetting your 2 year contract (still capped at 2 years, didn't stack). So I would get a new phone and sell the old one for $500 or so and did that for a few years. Eventually the carriers in my country caught up and cut that out around the iPhone 6/6S release.

I upgraded from 14pro to 16 pro, I notice a difference in speed, but the biggest difference has to be the quality of reception. My phone dropped calls constantly with my 14 pro in my apartment building, I assumed that it was my carrier, I haven't dropped a single call since upgrading.

What phone and color did you order? Can you cancel? You can probably just go to a Apple Store in the mid morning. I remember I used to pay attention to stock numbers and all that. I don't think that's even necessary anymore.

just got a replacement this morning, such a ******* hassle

Trying going to iCloud.com and logging in using your Apple ID. From what I remember, you should be able to access your contacts.

I turned off the screen always on thing - it was kind of cool but it has to affect battery life. Anyone know how much battery it uses for the day?
