on another note im mad that a macbook m2 3 months out of warranty had a logic board failure
they wanted 600 for a fix with a "used" logic board, ended up copping new one for her

The fingerprint on my mini is super annoying though - it’s on the corner so nowhere near you’re finger if you’re holding it like a book and awkward if you’ve got it sitting on a desk or something.
The old one at the bottom of the screen was better - just took up some screen space obviously.

$50 for a wallpaper app is wild, but I guess he only needs a small percentage of his subscriber base for it to pay off nicely. Won’t be me though

I just got my regular 16 Pro yesterday and I was coming from a 14 Pro. I feel the exact same way. I actually don’t like that it’s taller. I do like the camera button, though.
I bought the terabyte version. My music is still coming over.

The general consensus was there's no major upgrade for most going from the 14 Pro series to 16 Pro series unless you're a creative (USB-C , Pro Log capabilities) or just wanted the A.I. features, and a lighter phone. 13 and lower you'll enjoy a lot more with the upgrade.

I ordered my 16 Pro on Friday night and Uber Eats delivered it Saturday morning .
I'm not disappointed in any way and I wasn't expecting anything drastic (and I'm def not a power user), but this is largely the same phone as my XS Max. Idk how you guys upgrade every year.

Think I chose correctly to leap again last year... my 15PM 1TB might be around as long as I kept the 6S Plus 128GB. I haven't upgraded my iPad pro since getting USB-C either.

Recently filed a $99 deductible claim for a 14PM replacement through Asurion so I could trade it for the 16pm. My 14PM was worth $0 as the back is completely shattered.
They sent me a 15pm.
I think I’ll keep it.

My apps didn’t transfer.
Emails didn’t.
Texts didn’t.
Contacts and photos did.
Old school wired apple buds no longer fit.
The Asurion rep came in to my home with replacement phone and set it up and then when he started the transfer process he said, in 20minutes your phone should be ready and left.
I left work to meet him at my home so when he was done I left to go back to work. At one point though the phones were together they weren’t exactly side by side. I wonder if this was a reason that everything didn’t transfer.
So I had to add back all of my emails.
I had to go one by one adding my old apps.
They were actually downloaded just no longer on my home screen.
I’ve spent the last 6hours trying to mimic my old set up. I give up. Time to get used to the new way.

I will say the slight smallness of the 15PM is dope.
Even my 14PM screen protectors fit even though it was said they would not. Definitely holding off on the 16PM for now.

If you have a recent backup on iCloud you can reset and restore your phone from that. I traded in and picked up my phone at the apple store before closing so this is what I had to do.
