I just found out a few weeks ago that all the Subway franchises are privately owned now, they are not national franchises. So, each Subway owner gets to choosethe prices and items on the menu. Also, they can only charge tax on hot sandwiches. For anyone in the Bay Area, the Subway on Park St. in Alameda has thelowest prices in the state.
