Roulette story time:
My first and only time in Vegas, also my first and only time gambling, all I played was roulette. At first, I was only betting the minimum and red or black, being my first time and all. By the end of the night, I was betting $500 on one spin lol, stuff is crazy addicting. I walked away with $1500 the first night, i just could not lose.

Anyways, my religious beliefs (islam) don't allow me to gamble I just wanted to try a few spins, got a little carried away, so i didn't gamble the rest of the trip. My brother and cousin both lost about 1200 that trip I walked away a winner that weekend haha. I ended up spending most of my money in Vegas on Louis v and other stuff, then the rest went towards a speeding ticket I got the day after I came home (karma?). I still get the itch to play when I see a board, don't know if I will though. Coming out of Vegas a big winner... Feels good man. I don't want to be all down and out like my bro and cousin haha.

Go big or go home bet it all on odd!

but realistically get 1$ chips and bet inside. not just numbers but street, splits, baskets and trios also it may seem like your losing alot but in actuality your winning due to the 35-1, 17-1. and 11-1 odds.

sorry to derail the thread but school me on baccarat.  all the people i know who are "higher" rollers (approximately your price range of $5-20K per trip) play baccarrat.  Unfortunately none are really friends, just acquaintances (all my friends are poor like me).

Why is bacc a rich mans game?

it really isn't a rich man game depending on casino..I know card rooms have bacc minimums at $10, but in vegas at the nicer casino its a whole another beast.  Minimum at night in cosmo was $100 a hand.  High limit was $200 a hand.  Its a simple game highest you can get is 9.  10s and Face cards have no value other cards have face value.  So if bank side draws 7 and 7, 7+7=14, so bank side is now at 4 points because highest can only be 9.  Object is to have the higher value, whichever side you bet.  You can bet player, banker, or tie.  Ties generally pay out 9 to 1 depending on casino, although some only pay 8 to 1.  If you bet banker and win they take 5% commission because in a 8 deck shoe on average banker will win more times than player.  Its mostly a 50/50 game thats why alot of people like to play.  You can catch a streak and win big if you're willing to roll, or you can lose big.  mini bacc you can't touch cards, but in high limit full bacc you can touch cards.  And if you really rollin in vegas they let you deal, but those are the 10k minimums usually.  I don't have funds to touch that.  Most I've won in one sitting on bacc is 50k and I won't get on how much I've donated to my local indian casinos.

so then what is the strategy? or is there any?  when you say "willing to roll" are you talkin bout letting the bet+winnings ride over and over and hope you catch a hot streak?  it seems so basic that there wouldnt really be a strat involved.

Electronic roulette is all I play when I go to Vegas. Not the fully electronic computer ones, but the ones where you get to sit at your own touch screen computer to place your bets and there still a real person spinning the ball on a real wheel.

I don't really gamble so this game is perfect for me; I can chill, bet whatever amount I feel, sit out spins if I want, and just keep getting drinks from the waitresses.

The most I've won was like $300 in a few hours and the most I've lost was like $100, but that's alright, I just considered that paying for the drinks.
