Anyone have a 4k Ultra HD television? Help

OLED is just fine. You're just used to the quality. Go start watching tv/movies on your other non OLED TVs and then go back to your OLED. Itll make you go WOW again.

I’ve said it before but I returned my X900f bc the picture quality couldn’t compare with my LG B7. The “wow” factor has worn off but it’s OLED or bust going forward.

It’s insane how much prices have come down. I paid $2400 for my 65” last year and saw it go as low as $1100 a few weeks ago

Anyone out there with the LG B8 or C8 know if a Xbox One X can fit horizontal in the space underneath the screen when it’s on the stand? Really don’t want to have my joint vertical next to the TV anymore.

The setup of my house makes it impossible to wall mount, unfortunately. At least in the family room.

Stupid mantle TV area with almost zero shelf space in front of the screen, but a goddamn useless cavern behind it. Guess the builders in ‘05 weren’t into future proofing.

Been leaning physical 1st and sell the digital codes, if there's a crazy deal on digital then I'll cop. Got the Mission Impossible collection for like 30 on FandangoNow

I can't remember the last time I bought a physical movie disc... I stream all of my movies

The best quality you can get is via UHD BD-ROM, so that's what I buy.

The good part is that all UHD comes with 4k digital copies too. Some movies you even get prerelease codes to see the movie before it comes out, like with Aquaman, Equalizer 2, and Spiderman Homecoming from Best Buy.

Naw there's been issues with their audio and visual quality for their UHD discs in the past.

I dont really get into the real vs fake 4K because I've seen 2K upscaled look amazing and and real 4K look meh

Some companies do more care to their raw product than others in the end

It's been maybe 2 yrs and I still love my oled but if I have a complaint is that I don't think it'd do well in well lit areas. Got to have a dark room or it'll have reflection issues. It'd be the perfect TV otherwise.

It's not possible for the human eye to tell the difference between 4k and 8k. You can only tell the difference between 4k and 1080p from a certain distance.

The visual wow factor in 4k content comes from hdr or dv

You should be able to see the difference between 8k and 4k... but you need actual 8k content, and right now it is completely unfeasible from both a gaming and movie watching stand point (most 4k UHD are actually 2k upscales and even the most powerful GPUs struggle at running most modern games at 4k/60 fps). These TVs aren't for the mainstream though... they're for people who like to brag about being the first to have something, even though by the time actual content is readily available much better TVs will be available for much less.

Never updated but i ended up grabbing a LG B8 for $750 brand new via facebook marketplace. Had to drive over 2 hours each way, but the deal was amazing.
