Anyone ever go out alone?

What age are you guys who frequently go to bars alone?
I generally only frequent bars who cater to the ages of 16-21 (I'm 19 btw) so showing up at any of these by yourself would be a pretty horrible idea.
Doesn't matter who you are if you go to a bar like this by yourself you're pretty much a loser in everyone's eyes. Maybe it's different for people a bit past that highschool mentality.

As for going out alone, it's an adult thing. Wait until you're old enough to drink.

I'm 23. When I'd go out alone in college, it would be because I knew I'd run into my friends or people I knew. Now - out of college - I still do it. But I can understand, if I was dealing with immature crowds, I would probably be more hesitant to do it.

sounds like your talking about bars in college towns but even there if your the right kinda tipsy those 18+ clubs can be a gold mine

Don't know about bars but until I met my girl I frequented movies, art exhibits, jazz lounges, by myself
Sometimes it's good to people watch and mingle with fresh faces

Yes, Belgium to be specific. The drinking age is 16 here.

There's an extremely successful bar about 50 meters from the local highschool here to give you an idea.

Owner has a villa, yacht, Porsche etc.

I've noticed most people hate doing stuff alone and I cant understand that. They would rather not do something (go to their fav artist concert, see a movie, go shopping, go to a sporting event) than go alone.
I personally stopped even inviting people anywhere. If I wanna go I go solo. Saves me the drama.
But to answer the thread: I went to bars solo but never clubbing solo. Never needed/wanted to.

I study alone a lot at coffee shops all over my area. Weird thing is I studied so much people started talking to me asking what I was studying and I made a TON of friends from that. Plus I think studying at a coffee shop comes with the benefits of potentially running into people in your field. Honestly it feels liberating not having to be obligated to a group of friends.

And most of the time I enjoy doing things by myself. Being around people all the time takes a toll on me so I need time alone to recharge.
The people that give you crap about are probably real insecure.

Going to the mall alone isn't the same as going to dinner or to a movie or to a club alone.
To answer op no I haven't .

People afraid to go to dinner or the movies alone? For what? It's not even like you're there to socialize, you have a specific purpose for being there. No one's gonna bother you while you're eating your food/watching the movie.

I actually prefer going to movies alone. Went The Hobbit 3D a couple months ago and I was out of my mind, it was an awesome time. If I was with somebody it wouldn't have been as good because they would've been trying to talk/crack jokes and I was actually trying to get into the movie.


Not wanting to go clubbing alone I can understand. A lot of times I don't wanna go clubbing period even with friends.

Going to the movies by yourself is always good too because you don't have to worry about your friend/date or whatever not liking the movie, be in your own little bubble like

Alone is the ONLY way I got to the movies. I usually go during the week and around noon though due to my work schedule. Not too crowded and I get the best seats

this man knows. i was about to catch gi joe alone tonight but my girl wanted to come with since i started working at a theater i get free movies and plan on going alone a lot though. so many good flicks coming out this summer. but i typically shop a lone around 60-70% of the time.
