All Things Sports Media Thread!!

Shaun King's title is literally "Senior Justice Writer" at the friggin' Daily News. No wonder he caught feelings when people criticized him.

Has fs1 ever had positive press? Seems like a crap show over there.

Only good stuff I see on there are the ufc stuff and the nascar show. Danielle Trotta is thick.

rachel nichols' show is boring with boring guests. Wonder if espn can even cancel it if the ratings suck or they have to keep it on because of her contract.

lebatard sounds dumb when he keeps comparing that minnesota vikings boat with prostitutes to that gronk cruise.

the comparison might be slightly hyperbolic but the substance of the argument is pretty accurate.

Gronks has gotten a complete pass for behavior that would prompt an avalanche of criticism if a black player did the same stuff.

This Whitlock guy seems awful just listening to a little bit of the interview.

:x :x :x

So annoying and downright stupid. King isn't answering strangely/confusingly at all and Whitlock keeps acting like he's being obtuse :lol

I'm surprised he even had the patience to stay on the line and handle that assclown interrupting him repeatedly.

"I'm not operating from a position of respect; I don't respect you." :lol :lol

"Shaun did I offer you a job?"
"I thank god daily that you didn't offer me a job because anyone who did it ruined their careers!"

:rollin :rollin

anybody watch any of the latest Real Sports episodes? The 1st 2 from the newest season were pretty good.

The last part is no surprise to anyone. If he was a quarterback there would be a lot of noise about it though.

Saw Meyers Leonard and Lee Jenkins now, didn't listen.

Are athletes all over people's podcasts they trust? :lol Or do the players sort of create their own spaces? Maybe down the line they delegate via popular vote amongst the players? OKC, HOU, CLE, BKN, etc. JJ Redick seems to be doing alright, has had some hiccups through a few but mostly good, he'll be fine but where does involvement with players and podcasts stand? Surprised Players Tribune wouldn't be all over it to be honest, and there'll always be a need for people who are without associations (media) to surround the game for the media companies that own broadcasting rights.

Whoever that Big Wos dude is on the Truehoop podcast is the worst. Feel like he has to be friends with Amin or something to have that slot because he literally only spurts out the most generic basketball talk or claims this year's Warriors/Steph are the best ever at everything. While saying it extremely matter of factly with no backing whatsoever. One of my favorite podcasts but anytime he's on I'm fast forwarding a lot.

the Jump is pretty bad. Rachel Nichols is a great reporter, not so great on a show.

Zach Lowe always tells it like it is

Man, thought I was the only one noticing that, the way he talks also annoys me
