these look nice, however IMO, they look like they wouldn't be proportioned right with a small air unit.
the ST was at the moment the nike with the biggest air unit...
and it woudnt look good with such a small air unit like they put in the retro 180s

I wonder with all the retros I have, which ones actually have that Forefoot airsole like the originals have. Maybe one day when they getcompletely beat, I will cut through a pair to see how much nike was lying to us.. Thats just beyond shady. if I know an original had two airsoles and have notrue way to see if retros hold up, who knows what nike is pulling with us.. Does anyone know of any sure fire tests for the hidden bubbles?? I feel aroundunder the insole and it all feels the same.Originally Posted by kapepper

This is just a guess, but I imagine that the only shoes with forefoot air these days are the ones that have it visible, like Tailwind 4s, Air MaxPluses, and Air Max 95s-the forefoot air is part of the design.Originally Posted by WallyHopp

my concern is on of course the air trainers. my 2000 chlorophylls when you take the insole out, have the little exposed DOT that is directly onwhere the airbag is right below. not only in the heel but the forefoot. my zoom trainers from 04 have that same design mechanic in both spots. yet some 2000varsity reds, 03 SBs, various trainer IIIs, 04 trainer 1 lows etc.... have none of that ingrained in their manufacturing process which leaves me wondering ifAIR is even present in these modelsOriginally Posted by briannnnn

The other retros that had forefoot air buried in the midsole likely don't have it anymore...I know the Air 180s don't and I imagine the Air Max 90s don't either (they feel like bricks in the forefoot area)...it's likely Nike's way of cutting production costs so that the MSRP can still remain relatively the same.

I dont spot the exposed dot on the heel or the forefoot of any of these other trainers. my trainer fts have a different feel to them as you can feel the contours in the midsole where the bubbles are.. Its hard to feel and even tell air is in them. I guess im trusting nike here because they still are quite comfortable. comparing all this to a few pairs of OGs and its a sad realization.
I wonder if someone could take this up with the better business bureau. I also guess this is a big reason they no longer hand out pamphlets breaking down how their shoes are made.
im hating nike more and more everydaybetter yet, questioning their business tactics as I dont want to get ripped off or injured as I play in a stuff that I thought and knew as a OG had air, in some retros, its straight up foam. I wouldnt call it false advertising as they never made it clear one way or another. so I guess ill just learn the hard way
The Stabs do have that "dot" you speak of inside...come to think of it, I think they have forefoot air (I can certainly feel *something*there that absorbs the pressure I put on that area as I walk)...as much as I dislike the Air Stab for its horrendous colorways and flawed design of the retro(it makes the shoe look a little bulky), they at least got forefoot air inside there...Originally Posted by WallyHopp
