^ I'm done, you sound like a young dude. I see you are way too into this. $#* I gotta lie to you about? Who the *@#$ are you? Don't sit here and tell me to do my homework when my eyes are my research. I'm tired of you young dudes sitting behind your computer and looking at pics and guessing what the originals looked like. Then you yell at people on a message board about accuracy. I was way into shoes way before it was sensationalized by this retro BS. FYI, I have retro Colombias, had them for 8 years and they haven't yellowed. Stop it with that flaming BS and learn how to debate point for point instead of just jumping at people. Damn, it seems like you shoe nerds just wait to read something to jump on someone, it is pathetic. Those that act like this sound like a bunch of Star Wars nerds.Originally Posted by dhtowng
BECAUSE THEY ARE DUDE! Yellow is yellow. End of story. why you shakin your head? U can lie to us but u cant lie to yourself man. Its just fact that 01 cool greys are mostly (maybe not all) but mostly yellowed except for pairs that have been sea glowed maybe. Hands down they are definetly yellow compared to some 10's. And for the record do your homework on them columbias. Cause OG columbias from 96' that came with the tinted blue sole yellowed way slower than other 11s. Seen a dude on youtube recently with og columbias. Soles still blue. Maybe not as icey or like new but still blue with no yellowing. OG Columbias have always been infamous for the patent leather yellowing. Look it up. Now the Columbia retro from the 2000's had the clear sole and them %+$%% yellowed before you could walk out the store with em. Not tryin to "flame" you man but do your research. IMO New icey soles, hell new shoes period, will always beat old shoes if you are trying to wear them and not just collect them. But F%$# it though man.Originally Posted by beh235
This thread should have been locked looong ago. Dudes in here sounding like female over SHOES?! The youngn's saying that they prefer blue sole vs. the original cool grey sole. What kind of argument is that? If they knew anything, they know that the sole will yellow at the same rate and eventually it will look worse. Has any of you young guys looked a yellowed sole of an original Colombia XI sole? It's probably the worst out of all of them. I personally prefer the soles from 2001. The problem is you have all these young dudes talking and not knowing what they are talking about. These new "icy" soles are worse than the 2000-2001 versions. They look great aesthetically, but they are not better quality. Like I stated earlier in this thread or one of these threads, these soles will yellow at a faster rate. I have had a pair of Concords for the past 8-9 years and they have not yellowed. Yet, my 2009 Spacejams have showed some yellowing on the sole, even though it is minimal. I don't care about the yellowing, but there is the proof right there. It's crazy how you can have a DS pair or VNDS pair from 2000-01 and show it to someone now and they say it's yellow. Smh
