There is def a difference between the OG's and retros in terms of feel. OG's were def softer in the case of the XII's as is usually these days. One problem the OG's had that I'm glad  got fixed was the top two eyelets used to strip the laces. The laces on the OG's were thicker and if you pulled the laces too fast they would strip the outer layer. Happened on my OG taxis. 

You must be talking about the 04 French Blue's because OG 12's weren't softer

I had the OG when it first came out and have another pair now

Once the OG's were broken in, they were. When the 04's came around, they realized that initially the OG's were stiff as hell and they needed to fix that. It took me 6 months to comfortably break in my OG taxi's, and this is with every day wear and using them in school in gym. I didn't clarify that.

They think it was a mistake with their automatic order verification system as I have an established history with them the order should not have been cancelled. They gave me free shipping on my next order. Just have to call in after i get the tracking number.
