there are more people in just california, texas, and new york combined than there are in the rest of the country so there's no possible way pop is more common than soda or coke.

I grew up with everyone saying 'pop' (Midwesterner), but I thought it sounded corny so I switched over to team soda as I grew older. Nowadays I hear more people saying soda.

Nike does whatever Nike wants, and will continue to do so until you guys stop purchasing. Saying Nike listens to NT, without a single shred of proof, is just an excuse to keep moaning on here.
