I have 5 mens pairs from various retailers. (Dicks, Footlocker, DTLR, local boutique, and JD) all of my pairs are VW1. Where are the China pairs coming from?

The ep on the right shoe is super faded, the liner inside has a big bubble, and the tongue has a hellafied gangster lean. Luckily my first handpicked pair from FTL was good enuff.

“OG sneaker head” and “I prefer the 2018s” is about the single most contradictory statement you could ever say, absolutely zero OG fans claim the 2018 as anything but hot sticky garbage. 2024s aren’t perfect, but they’re miles closer to 1988 than the 2018s. To each their own though man and that’s why there’s variety.

I got 2 pairs from SNKRS on launch day size 12.5 both are Vietnam VW1

Pair 1: slick black not really tumbled. EP is fine on the toe, weak on the heel, both toes look symmetrical.

Pair 2: more tumbled leather than the other. EP decent all around but there’s a small scuff in the print in a spot on both. Toes look a lil uneven maybe. Got that pointy thing on the toe area

You know what, you have a great point. Not to get political either… but with Trump back in the Tariffs are coming. I work in the manufacturing segment and that was a huge deal last time around. Smart by Nike to get ahead of it this time around. Also goes to show these corporations knew the outcome of these elections 6 months ago lol.

We are now at the factory talk portion of the thread. Not for the faint of heart. Six months from now we will be in the acceptance part of the thread where people are finally ok with whatever they got.

Pair #3 came in from Hibbett and looks pretty similar to my other two pairs.

Smooth leather, solid EP and no significant flaws.

I have a sick feeling that the one 11.5 I ordered is going to be the better fit and have the only major QC issues.

…feels like a relative certainty.

Yeah I store mine in plastic container as well. Last time I wore em was a couple years ago and there was no glitter back then tho.

Nah they've been producing 3s in Vietnam for a min. My Fear 3s and midnight navy 3s from last year were VW1 made in Vietnam. The Ivory craft 3s as well, along with the cement grey 3 and AMM wyws from this year. Idk where the green glow 3s were made. Probably Vietnam too.
