I see where you are coming from, but that is the way things work. High priced shoes aren't made for people who can't afford them. If someone is going to spend a few hundred dollars at your store, you have to give them incentives and perks.

From a business standpoint it makes sense. Generally it costs about 4x as much to bring in new customers as it does to retain them. It also helps promote a steady cash flow by incentivising customers to come in and spend money. 

Do you invest in a one and done customer, or do you invest in one who is a proven repeat customer?

FCFS yesteday at my HOH. Was told 300 pairs but only 200 showed up. People got men and gs. People was out there since 10pm the night before. I woke up out my bed, went out there 5 minutes be for guarantee tickets close and grabbed a personal 11.5 

. 25 tickets still left. I'm assuming people didn't know that HOH did FCFS on a Sunday.
