SB Dunks were sitting for a looooong time. My boy would buy them on clearance for $30-$40. As soon as Travis Scott wore them and interest spiked, he cashed out. Sold a bunch of used pairs for $7K. Stop worrying about what kids think of your favorite shoe and just keep doing you. When interest jumps up again, you might be in for a nice little payday.

Seriously, just buy what you like. If you care what others think about the shoes you’re buying, how quickly they sell out, resale value, etc, then you’re in the hobby for all the wrong reasons, and that’s how you inevitably end up with a closet full of shoes you don’t love.

I miss those times when it wasn’t that many early images or even early pairs floating around three months before the release day I miss the excitement the anticipation.

Only thing I miss are the prices... not just retail but stuff going on sale more often. It's starting to come back though, but I ain't neva paid under retail for a pair of high 11s, not that I can think of.

The one time I can think of when 11s were on sale in my area were the original Space Jams in 2000. Still available on Boxing Day up here in Canada and were marked down 25% off. The shoe craze hadn’t hit my area yet. (Winnipeg, Canada)

just because you’re not camping out for a shoe they made 2 million pairs of doesn’t mean the shoe is less popular

no one said the shoe would be hard to get
no one said we care who wears the shoe
no one said we want the shoe to be sought after

and the youngins aren’t really attached to any particular shoe, they wear what’ll get them likes and views so saying they don’t like 11s doesn’t mean anything, these kids wearing crocs and yeezy slides primarily and 45 year olds aren’t selling out 11s

if you’re near 40 here’s a news flash, nothing is being marketed to you - only things marketed to 40 year old men are viagra, corvettes, Harley Davidsons and power tools

everything else is for youngins and women

please stop acting like y’all are the target audience

I think its just simply a discussion really. I think the observation overall is that the 11 just dont have the same steam it once did. Years ago as you know, 11s were godlike as opposed to now being just another.... 11. Nobody denies the fact that it is an easy holiday cash cow every year. Because it absolutely is. I think its been pretty clear that JB is gearing the market towards kids, without question. And they should. All I want is for them to give the old guys the easy available way to purchase an OG color with no problems. Because they are the reason these Jordan shoes are still a big deal.

all that is based off supply which is what y’all still aren’t acknowledging is all I’m saying

they upped the supply cause people were getting hurt and killed for the shoe along with destroying property and stressing out every nearby business around the release

if they kept numbers lower the 11s would be still a problem

it’s just another 11 to us, we’re older

it’s called gratitude and we did help the shoe have a certain allure but they’re just creating another nonsense story to sell a shoe

the only thing that changed is that the 11 isn’t the only game in town and other shoes are trendy, I won’t say just as trendy cause again the numbers don’t lie
