Black J&Ds and GR Whites are my beaters. Accidentally doubled up on J&Ds and purposely doubled up on Whites.
Just curious are you interested in getting rid of one of your JD's?

Sweatshop still has a few scattered sizes left in the volts.
care to elaborate? Just my opinion and so far it looks like it will be the new subtle gradient and whatever the pattern is on the uncaged with the sock collar.
I guess I should clarify that I think we have seen the last of the OG as it is being phased out. The triple blacks and multicolor ltd seem to be the end of the OG pattern. I could be wrong I hope I am wrong.

Already did but I'll repost:care to elaborate? Just my opinion and so far it looks like it will be the new subtle gradient and whatever the pattern is on the uncaged with the sock collar.
They put UBs out in cycles. The first four gradient colorways all dropped at the same time, then a few og patterns dropped. Recently the second wave of gradients all dropped at the same time as well, and a few og knit pattern colorways will follow.
The OG knit pattern isn't dead and gone. There are multiple upcoming colorways that are using it (Rainbow LTD & triple blacks to name just two)
I will admit that it's possible only LTDs & collabs will continue to use the OG knit but it's definitely not gone.
You're just wildly speculating though with absolutely no info on what's actually slated to release.I guess I should clarify that I think we have seen the last of the OG as it is being phased out. Guys from the facebook group are selling olives atm, steep price comes to about 370$ shipped to US
I use olives as my beaters, I need to double up if I can find a pair below $500.
I wear my J&D sparingly as they are pure luxury.

Back in the day before all the hype, olives and burgundies sat on ebay for $260.Good to know........
Lowkey salty and envious lol
I came super close to copping the Burgs from Pakho for $280 shipped, got as far as him sending me an invoice but I held back.Back in the day before all the hype, olives and burgundies sat on ebay for $260.
No one was willing to pay that price especially with those sweatshop and rrs deals around.
Now we all regret.
I would never go to the gym in any of my wool pairs, but royals and navy are fair game.
I like hearing about folks using Olives & J&Ds as beaters.
It's easy to lose perspective when these kicks are sometimes so hard to get and so coveted, treating them like precious artifacts or something.
Gotta wear the dang things.

I catch myself treating my new pairs like that. Once they sat for some weeks and I start rocking them I forget about that artifact status very fast

Once you wear them down to a certain point they're gonna stay pretty much that way for a long long time. I've never seen anyone actually wear all the way through the outsole. The nubs just go flat and then the outsole kinda stays that way for a while.I actually have worn the groves down on my JD&'s....kind of regretting it now but oh well, they are shoes and can still rock them but just knowing that the soles will dissolves soon is sad.
That's where I'm at now, but back when they first came out that wasn't possible unless you bought a ton of the same colorway.i've just got so many pairs of UBs alone that I really dont have a beater pair. I just keep everything in constant rotation
The stock gray laces always looked off to me which kinda killed the shoe for me. But the lace swap gave them new life again. In the sun and indoors it almost looks like a perfect match.Got my beaters
Prolly gonna put the 3m laces I've had forever on them

There've been a couple photos posted of people who cracked the boost material but I've never seen anyone wear all the way through the outsole.
Only real issue is the grip, just don't wear them in the rain, or to an old school butcher shop haha.
