A Quiet Place: Day One (directed by John Krasinski) June 28th

I liked it. It was different.

It seems like they would have had more distractions and defenses set up.

I've never been in a theater before where people went out of there way to be quiet. This dude made some disgusting snort noise early in the movie and I think everyone learned from that.

You aren't kidding there. My buddy that manages my theater said he had to turn the heater off in that bay because it was too loud for the movie.
Otherwise, was WAY better than I expected it to be. That birth scene was beyond tense.

Was I the only one who was like
The military was so p
Like the killed it with a shotgun to the face
Like where was the military

They hinted in the movie that this was going on all over the world. The military could be handling them all over the country. The family just happened to be stuck in a small remote town.

That is why the Dad was trying to send SOS message.

Also the monster was only taken down with a shotgun after it was weakened.

The whole head or w/e was exposed when that high frequency hit it.

good point

Had a couple of goody moments but really good and unique overall.

Kind of reminded me of the last of us.

What did you not like about the ending I didn't see anything wrong with the ending
I hate when films just cut off like that
Specially after a great scene
Or climax like that
Like I get why they did
I just don’t like when great films do that
I need closure

I chuckled when I saw the wife was pregnant.

Armageddon happening, and my mans Jim still ain't pulling out :smh:  :smokin

I liked the ending. I usually don't really like sudden cuts like that, but I thought it was perfect. No need to show what happens next, we all knew what was coming. Dem monsters were finna get ran a high frequency 12 gauge fade.

After these creatures took her son and husband from her, ole girl finally found a way to clap back. She had that "oh you gonna learn today" grind on her face when she pumped the shotty :smokin

Saw the movie today -- great stuff

Anybody know why the dad didn't let his deaf daughter go into that basement?
Because he didn't want her to read the board of what was going on?

I thought he just was holding a grudge honestly
And was doing that because of how the youngest got killed
He can front all he wants
But he kinda felt she had a part to play min his death
Ain’t completely on her imo
BUT
She does have some responsibility
