You're right about that. Did you get a chance to look at the White House visitors log? Shows why there is a huge push by the Dems to get thispassed in the Senate. Dirty, dirty game.Originally Posted by wawaweewa

No rules against trying more than once. It will get through eventually.
When the game is rigged, nothing is impossible.

They don't have the votes needed as of today in the Senate. Its 58-42. Once more Dems begin to read it, the vote will favor 'nay'. Youneed 60 votes to pass a bill.Originally Posted by RustyShackleford

Rigged game? Dems have the majority.
Neh, didn't see that yet. What's up with it?
btw, notice how "coincidentally" this bill is coming up for a vote around the holiday season. A time where most Americans are busy worrying about other things.
Coincidentally. Just coincidentally.
CEO of AFL-CIO and CEOs of pharmaceutical companies. Coincidence? I think not. When you understand the intricacies of the bill it all makes sense.People don't realize that it is bigger than healthcare. My College Republican meeting today was very intense regarding this issue. We had a former thinktank member kicking knowledge today. I wish I recorded it as an audio file so that people can listen to what he was saying. There's also a provision in theHR bill that punishes people anywhere from $2500 to prison for not having an "adequate" plan. This bureaucratic system that is going to be set upalong with Obamacare has disaster written all over it. The nation can potentially be bankrupted by the healthcare initiative.
This was definitely planned. However, with the Senate and House having 3 weeks of breaks before the end of the year, it won't be voted on in the Senateuntil 2010. They are trying to pass this before Copenhagen but that is not going to happen. This moron is going to sign off on the protocol.
Bill Clinton came in to talk to the Dems about doing this for the party NOT America. Not making sure that it was morally sound that people in America hadhealthcare but to make sure that it gets passed so that they can stay in power. Capitol Hill *+%@++% disgusts me.

unfortunately with these bills, they are packed full of riders that have nothing to do with the main point of them... and congressmen and women just don't have the time to read every single piece of everything they vote on. hopefully for this one though, being that it's so huge, they will take the time to do it.
it's those middle of the night ones you really have to worry about, the seemingly harmless ones.

Here print it out and compare it to that stack.

Bush read something like 100 books a year during his presidency, so I don't think he'd have trouble reading a 282 page bill.Originally Posted by SunDOOBIE

Somehow I don't think "The Pet Goat" should qualify... I'm guessing Dr. Seuss might be his favorite author though.
