mann #+!% Bosh. Id rather sign Camby cheap, move Lee to PF, and spend that dough elsewhere... i dont wanna see Lee goin, Lee has developed so much since hes been here, and i wanna see him stay i think he can keep on improving and do alot more here, maybe even get on an elite level, who knows? Hes already improved from a nobody to an all-star, if he can play his natural position and become a great defender, which will pobably be the next thing he works on, i honestly think he can get even to another level. I mean hes been a monster for us this year, and i want at least 1 of our guys whose been around here for the future, and Lee is that guy

hmmm never thought of the idea of camby + Lee instead of just bosh hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I can actually live with that. Then we would have some $$ left over for 2011 or we can use it on manu/gay......

That frontcourt is pretty solid but we be lucky win 25 games with that lineup.

So basically were gonna end up handing the Rockets a top 5 pick.

I hate to say this but Donnie really painted himself into a corner with the Jeffries trade. He needs to get an elite FA to come here.

Hopefully things will work out, but right now its not looking good for us.

- Deron & CP3 is not next summer, Its two summers from now. Both  have options for 2012. Melo is next summer

- The Bosh sign and trade article would only be if Bosh wanted to go to the Bulls so its not set in stone..

- I doubt T'Wolves would ever give us Rubio, if they would then we would most likely already have him.
(Now if T'wolves get a high pick and somehow choose positions they don't need like a PG and draft Wall, then maybe the'yll loosen up on Rubio)

- I'm all for Camby signing here next year, i remember reading that his family was happy when they heard Knicks are interested next season, & Camby said he would be interested too.

- And For Joe Johnson
Johnson's Future Could Hinge On Woodson's Status
Apr 05, 2010 4:27 PM EST

atl_40.gif
The status of Hawks coach Mike Woodson could play a role in whether or not Joe Johnson re-signs with the team.

"Of course," Johnson told FanHouse when asked if Woodson's contract situation would affect his own.

"That will be one of the factors. (Woodson) was one of the main reasons why I came here (signing as a free agent in 2005). Me and him stayed and talked for a while before I signed. So we'll see. I surely hope him and his coaching staff will be back. Those are guys that I'm very comfortable with and familiar with, and the system that they have us running right now, it's been successful. So hopefully we can keep our core right here."

Woodson's contract, like Johnson's, expires at the end of the season.

"I'm thrilled to hear that Joe said that," Hawks owner Michael Gearon said. "I take that as a positive what he said about Woody."
New York's Tax Bill Drops From $15M To $5.1M
Apr 05, 2010 5:40 PM EST

nyk_40.gif
The Knicks were notified last week that their request for Cuttino Mobley's $9.5 million salary to be erased from their 2009-10 tax bill has been approved, according to sources.

The Knicks then waived Mobley on Monday, according to a league memorandum obtained by ESPN.com.

Once Mobley clears waivers later this week, New York will see its luxury-tax bill for July drop from nearly $15 million to $5.1 million. That will also reduce the rebate that teams get for staying underneath the league's $69.9 million luxury-tax threshold from just over $4 million to $3.7 million.
Steve Blake Likes Idea Of Playing For Knicks
Apr 05, 2010 4:23 PM EST

nyk_40.gif
Steve Blake will be a free agent this summer and could be a potential target of the Knicks.

Blake was traded to the Clippers in the deal that sent Marcus Camby to the Trail Blazers.

New York executive Donnie Walsh had tried to pry Blake away from Portland.

"It's coming up real soon. If a team like the Knicks wanted me to be there, I'd be thrilled about it," Blake said. "I love Coach D'Antoni and the way he plays. I'm a guy who loves uptempo."

I hope Nasty Nate lights this ******ed coach up on fire and show him what hes missed out on.

that team would be lucky with 25 wins??? son are you @+!++*! ******ed? We are well above 25 wins right now (and the season is not over) and that lineup would keep the only 2 parts of our lineup right now that we really want to keep in tact (Lee and Gallo) and get an upgrade at EVERY other position. Rubio would be dynamite in the D'Antoni offense and at only 20 in this offense imo hed have serious superstar potential and i can see him getting 10+ apg right off the bat, Camby gives us a defensive center for the first time since well... Camby
laugh.gif
, and Joe Johnson gives us a star status player to give the ball to, and our best player since Spree and Houston (probably even better hate to say it). Along with legit scoring threats in Lee and Gallo, a PG who can distribute and run the show, and a center that plays D cause with scoring all around we wouldnt need much out of him... son that is EASILY a playoff team in the East. IMO if that team was the Knicks next year theyd replace the Hawks (cause theyd lose Joe) into the 4th team in the East top 4. But wouldnt get 25 wins?? cmon son
laugh.gif
indifferent.gif

and whats good about that lineup is that wed still have some cap to hold us over, and still make us a legit playoff threat in the East, than next summer we get rid of Currys contract and use our excess $ from the previous summer to STILL be able to hand out a max contract, and that along with the fact that wed be near elite would allow us to lure Melo back to his hometown NY (who i honestly want even more than @+!++*! Bron
smokin.gif
). Than the 2 max contracts we can shed out would be split each summer, wed go from bad, to great, to elite, and wed also resign D Lee.

Rubio, Joe, Melo, Lee, Camby chip

i honestly hope the Jazz win the lotto with our pick, than theyd @+!++*! regret not trading us Rubio

realtalk though, i hope the TWolves win the lotto so they put Johnny or Rubio out there for a trade. We NEED a PG, i think this summer we will either have to go that route (best option), lure someone outta Charlotte (in case that dont work and Minnesota isnt down to trade... again), or just try and develop Toney Douglas as the starter (worst comes to worst). idk if hes quite ready though, but ima fan.

Wolves could take Turner 1, slide Brewer over and have Flynn at the point with Love at the 4 and w/e pieces they get back for Jefferson. At least that's the scenario I envision if they land the #1.

Damn, I have a class at 5:30 pm est. The good thing is that I record Knicks game in a DVR. Looking forward to watch that game. Let's go Knicks.

lol yea i was thinking about that one too, that would mean this team would get worse. while shifting Lee to PF, signing Camby, Rubio & Joe Johnson.

I can 100% guarentee that the ONLY team that would EVER consider trading the pick or drafting Turner if they got #1 is the Jazz. The Jazz are already a winning team unlike everybody else and they already have a franchise PG who may be the best in the league. Nobody else is passing up on John Wall, i can guarentee you that. I know the Nets have Devin Harris who is a pretty all-star caliber player at full healthy, and the T'Wolves went PG bananas last summer, but John Wall is too good and has too much potential for anybody to pass up. Turner is nice, but he doesnt even have close to the kind of ceiling that Wall does. Aint no chance in hell that Wall will turn into the best 2 in the league. AT BEST Turner can be a Brandon Roy type player. and thats at best. The worst i can poissibly see John Wall being is a more offensively gifted version of Rondo, and at best the best PG in the NBA. A team at the bottom is not turning that down no matter who their PG is unless (maybe) its Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, or Deron Williams and the only 1 of those players teams that will have a chance to get 1 is the Jazz and its not even cause they are a bad team.

EDIT:

and yeah, you see what i mean?

How the hell can we even get rubio by trading just chandler? maybe s&t lee + chandler, get bosh+camby.

The wolves can then move Al Jeff, but they're still stuck with two PFs and it doesnt help them either way.

we'll still need another big man in our front court (Jordan Hill anyone?

thats basically an entire rotation right there. and imo if they land evan turner i can still see them being trash for some odd reason
laugh.gif
.

on another note the only way i see us getting rubio is for chandler + curry + 2nd round pick (which is alot but thats what kahn wants). we have chandler 2.0 in billy walker anyway...

Edit- GR8 honestly it all matters who drafts who. I think if Turner lands on the Nets or Jazz he have will have a better career than Wall and i am a HUGGEEEE fan of Wall (alot more than Turner). But i see Turner falling into that roy, tmac in his prime, granger, kobe, lebron, durant, melo, wade category in the near future of he lands on those teams. But if he goes to the wolves, wizards, etc i see Wall having a far better career. Basically Wall will be great anywhere he goes, but if Turner lands on certain teams i see him having a better career and being more of a winner.

I seriously dont know why we gave Minny Darko for free, besides to save LT money.

Why on earth should Walsh help Kahn if he didnt help us? some good "friends" they are.

i would seriously give them half our team for rubio. that kid is the damn freaking goods.

Rubio-Tmac-Gallo-Bosh-Camby.
Sugar Ray?-Walker-House?-big man off the bench. that'd be at least a top 6 team. i can wait another year or two to sign more players as long as we're winning and we're not giving up lotto picks (zeke era all over again).

IMO there is 0 chance that Evan Turner will be close to as good as the guys i crossed. I mean do you remember KD at UT? I mean son was 10x the player Wall is right now (and taller) and dude was only a freshman, I mean Melo led Cuse to a title as a freshman and is a @%@!@#@ scoing machine as well. I can NEVER see Turner being MVP status like tmac in his prime, Lebron, Kobe, or Wade no matter where he goes. I just dont see that potential in him AT ALL. IMO Roy and Granger is a stretch for him but he can potentially get to that level. I dont like the Granger comparison because i dont think he will ever be able to score as well as Granger but he makes up for that with his all around game. Im a big Brandon Roy fan and i dont think this is bad at ALL, cause i think BRoy is a monster and he would be a top 5 player for me in the L if i can choose 5 players to play here, but i think at the VERY best he will be a Brandon Roy-like talent. He can be a very good player dont get me wrong, but imo he doesnt have that eye popping talent at all where he can be a guy like Lebron, Melo, Wade, Kobe, Durant, etc. Which isnt bad youre lucky to get a guy like that every 5 years, only recent swingman i remember since Lebron has been KD, but i can never see Turner getting that good. John Wall is the ONLY player in this draft that i see having potential to be an MVP type best at his position superstar in the NBA. Not that i dont think that Turner or a few others cant be great NBA players or all-stars even, i just dont ever see Turner getting to that Durant/Melo status.
