Didn't think that last assist would be an assist.

It shouldn't have been but they gave it to him anyway

No one would take that deal. Maybe NO since they have collision and could move harris to the 2 where he originally belongs.

Win or ship or not, at least that team would be making the playoffs with plenty of money to spare after Curry comes off the books.

and why cant this ******ed coach ever bench our starters when its a blowout game?

37, 20, 10. Great game by Lee. I'm glad they gave him that assist. He deserved it the way he played tonight.

Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni doesn't feel Tracy McGrady has a future with the team past this season.

McGrady has averaged 8.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 21 games with New York.

A team source said D'Antoni feels that McGrady has too far to go in his comeback to be counted on next season as an important piece of a rotation the coach expects to be massively improved.

Can't disagree with that assessment on T-Mac.

He definitely has a ways to go. Probably won't be back to "normal" until the midway point of next season (jan/feb 2011).

If at all.

I dont see any harm in signing him for the minimum though. He can contribute off the bench. He does not need to start and play ample minutes

i don't know what to think about the damn knicks anymore.

just need the summer to happen already

Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony has clarified recent comments that have led to growing talk that he could sign with the Knicks after the 2011 season.

Anthony said during Denver's trip to New York last week that "anybody" would love to play at Madison Square Garden.

"Nah," he said when asked if he was hinting that he could play for the Knicks. "I was just talking to the media. They asked me 'How does it feel to play in The Garden?' And I said 'Anybody would love to play in Madison Square Garden.' That's all I said."

Anthony is currently nearing the end of a five-year, $80 million contract he signed in 2006.

"I'm still under contract here," Anthony said. "I can't think that far ahead. I'm just focused on this season and next season. I don't know what is going to happen in two years. I've been here seven years. I live here. It's my home. My home away from home. Like I said, in two years, I can't predict that what going to happen."

Charolotte beat the Knicks 111 - 68 Monday, in the worst loss the Knicks have ever experienced at Madison Square Gardens.

The New York Times' Chris Broussard says it may also spell the end for interim coach Don Chaney, who is 4 - 16 since taking over from Jeff Van Gundy. A better interpretation might be that Van Gundy knew when to get out.

Chaney's conclusion was that the team gave up: "I thought they threw in the towel. I thought they gave up. They really did."

The Hornets' PJ Brown was more emphatic. Midway through the fourth quarter, Brown said to a reporter at the press table: "Are they trying to make some type of statement with this? Is there some kind of conspiracy going on over there?"

Ariza And Arroyo Hurt, As Pistons Hold Knicks To 61 Points

Jan 30, 2005 2:50 AM EST

As Larry Brown dodged reporters before and after the game, as rumors fly about him being earmarked to take over the reigns in New York, his Pistons held the Knicks to just 61 points.

The Knicks, whose previous low this season was 73 points in a loss to Boston on Nov. 6, made just 36.1 percent of their shots.

Trevor Ariza unintentionally broke Carlos Arroyo's nose. Arroyo will have surgery Monday and is expected to wear a protective mask when he returns. He is doubtful for Detroit's game Tuesday at Washington.

A minute later, Ariza sprained his left ankle stepping on the foot of Ronald Dupree.

Jamal Crawford's 40 points on 14 of 25 shooting wasn't enough to lead the Knicks to victory on Tuesday night, as New York's porous defense gave up 133 points to the Suns.

Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 29 points. Quentin Richardson and Joe Johnson had 25 and 24 points respectively.

The loss dropped the Knicks to 17 and 23. The Suns improved to 32 and 10.

Trevor Ariza, despite being inactive three straight games and buried in Brown's doghouse, said he doesn't want to be traded.

"I'm young, being patient," Ariza said. "This is where I started. I want to be part of the future."

I've said this a few times already throughout this season.

if we are winning then dantoni helped recruit some players. so he won't be leaving. he's gonna stay for the rest of his contract unless we do terrible with good players next year.

I wonder how many combined pages are nothing more than FA predictions and our wish lists.
