After watching Knicks in 60, it looks like we will be loads better defensively. I can foresee a scrappy, get after the ball type of team, but not necessarily alock down defense. That might be all we would need for the moment to take the next step.

However, I will not, cannot, get excited for an upcoming season until something actually happens. I've been down that road too many times. I know no onewas expecting anything from teams past, but the fan in you gets all giddy about the positives, and then those "teams" go out there squash all thatgiddiness to pulp.

idk if im not miistaken i always saw Jeffries more of a natural 3 with his versatility and ability to guard positions from 1-4 effectively andbecause he is rarelyy in the post on offense, and i have always seen Al as a 3/4 but more of a natural 4

1. i'm loving toney douglas' game and all but i think jeff teague was the steal of the draft
2. i'm still not over us drafting jordan hill (yes i know season hasnt even started, but i still think derozan would have been amazing here)
3. rotation is set with duhon, chandler, al, jeffries, lee (starting 5) and nate, gallo, darko, toney
4. btw i read somewhere that we're projected to start the season 2-8 in our first 10 games

well, not sayin youre wrong, i just think D'Antoni has always penciled in jeffries as one of the bigs.

and al has a little more ability, (ballhandling specifically) on the wing.

It really doesn't matter if Jeffries or Al is the 3 or 4, in this system its interchangeable. We switch on screens like 80% of the time anyway because wehave a versatile athletic lineup.

All we need is Jeffries to keep playing at this level and some team running for a championship will try to trade for him. As for Curry, I heard he is bannedfrom team practices and workouts until he loses more weight. He can't get up and down the court without getting injured

. I don't see anyone everwanting to trade for Curry so we will probably have to ride out his contract.

This dude Hughes was in the lineup last night in crunch time with the rookies and nbdl players and still got outplayed

. I think hes like 1-23 from thefield in preseason and you can tell when you watch him he is playing lazy.

5 wins seems reasonable, although its not good...
the thing is, i like darkos presence on court.
looking at the lineup of duhon, will, jefferies, al, and lee, we'll get dominated by bigger teams, or any team with a legit center.
imo, lineup of duhon-chandler-jefferies-lee-darko seems more balanced. IMO.
btw, anyone think nate is def. tradeable now with douglas?
i remember last year we passed on the chance of nate+jefferies for expirings.

Sadly, Al Harrington still is this teams best player.
Agreed with all of that. There is no way we should have our 2 biggest scoring threats in Nate and Al come off the bench. And saying that probablyour 3rd as well cause Gallo may turn into that. That lineup would not score worth %*!%, and agreed as sad as it is Al Harrington is still our best player. Ithink D'Antoni knows all this and would no way have Al being on the bench to start the season. imo it is more likely to have Nate and Al both startingbefore both coming off the bench. Im all down for Darko starting to bring some interior defense... but a) it wont be right away... and b) it wont be in placefor Al it would be for Jeffries. We needs Al's scoring out there to start the game.

nahh dog im with you and i think Darko will move into the lineup some point in this year, im just saying he wont opening night. I know thatD'Antoni likes his D as do we all, but dude hasnt started one preseason game its obviously a sign that its not gonna happen. I dont mind that lineup and iwant Nate to start. But it is wayyy more likely that D'Antoni will opt to have Duhon start over Nate rather than have Dako start over Al... yadigggz? Istill see Darko getting good minutes regardless though...
